A little update from my nano tank .. everything is still the same as before, I still do regular water changes every week, but there is a little different this time .. For the first time I tried to do trace element dosing into this tank, this because I have a sick trachy, so hopefully the results can make this trachy recover quickly and another corals grow more ..

Great to see an update on this beautiful small reef, I've just started my journey with a 4g GSP dominant reef, and seeing others long term experiences helps guide.Be good to know how your dosing treatment gets on.

Bounce mushrooms? I'm not up on these, so what's happening with them to cause those expanded, polyps?

So I believe the original one bounced do to a bacterial infection if I am not mistaken and now its a super commom occurance. They will bounce under lighting with a good amount of UV/violet from what I have read online.

I don't know what caused it, but I did get some mushrooms that bounced already  when they first came from the sea .. like this PB020089-01.thumb.jpeg.85612a879b65d31d170f675a033b4ac1.jpeg

It's really interesting to see what they're doing, I was curious how much of a sales/marketing gimic the bounce name is or was (I know, most all of the naming is - people gotta get $$$ 🙄). So you had this happen straight from the ocean collection, seems it's likely a natural response in the species. Going to have to read a little more on them 😁

yes, I got it directly from the sea like that, I got many variants, including the bounce mushroom which people call OG bounce, sunkist and others

Last update for this year .. need to do a total rescape to remove gsp from the tank. Because of it, all softies were released from Liverock, especially Xenia and Sinularia. In the next few months, the old live rock will be replaced with a new one, and hopefully the process will run smoothly.

Very nine!

On page 1 is see the system had some issues, but I see that it has recovered nicely!

Yea, the first 6 months were the most difficult, then when the tank was 1 year old, I was exposed to covid which caused this tank to be abandoned for almost 1 month. I'm still lucky this tank didn't crash 😅 .. After that things started to get better, and still going on until now .. 💪

Latest update in 2023, the condition of the tank is still the same as before, the plan to change the scaping hasn't been implemented yet because I'm too lazy 😅 and you can see the result, GSP takes place everywhere, which will soon will take over this tank 😅 .. I hope the plan to make changes in scapping will be implemented in the next few months .. ✌️

Here is Feb'23 FTS .. If you are notice, xenia which is located on the right, many died because their place was taken by GSP, which in the end the initial goal to make this tank full of xenia may fail 😅

I have 2 types of toadstool in this tank, and this type is the most difficult for me, the polyps of this toadstool hasn't extend for almost 4 month now!. It seems very healthy otherwise though, keeps growing and has doubled in size since I've had it, so when i see it "life", I have to take the opportunity to capture this rare moment 🥳
