Titan came died from a bacterial infection a few days after I bought him. I managed to isolate him in a breeder box, but he passed within 24 hours of isolation. 😓 I noticed the extremely large wild-caught mandys don't seem to last long. The last large one at the store died there too. 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Shrimpy. 💦 My mini carpet nem bleached several weeks ago. 😔 Yesterday, it vanished from the rocks and I presumed it melted. Today I found it on the Zoa Tower, in the shade, facing away from the light. I truly hope it recovers in time: It still has a lot of pink left, but it used to be really vibrant shade of red. I'll have to move the UCs so that they don't get stung or melt away. 4 Quote Link to comment

(It's morning here now lol. 😅) Feeling a bit better. Keeping myself occupied by doing a *lot of pet work. I spent two hours setting up a new storage bin cage for my new hamster, Mocha, yesterday. Having a backache today: I got him around ~6 days ago. He's technically still a baby, but pretty huge for his age: I have another hamster, Kiwi, which is a different type (winter gold dwarf hamster) : I made this platform for Kiwi myself: Mocha's different - he's a syrian hamster and his species is much more larger. 😊 (Sorry for going off-topic, but I just wanted to share something different than my reeftank(s) for a change. 2 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
This is my albino hedgehog, Snuffles: And this is her set up: I'm constantly finding ways to improve it. Mostly I just rotate toys in and out of her cage. Believe or not, the nanoreef remains the highest maintenance of all of my pets, including my other aquariums. 😅 1 Quote Link to comment

She loves to dig, so I set up a small box with colorful pom poms for her to play with/dig at night. 😊 3 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
I finally did an 8G WC on the tank today. Before WC: Right after WC: Few hours after WC: As usual, I knocked over 2 sticks (the forest fire digi mini-colony & garf bonsai) during the WC, so I had to stick them back. The acro was okay, but the digi was in contact with the duncan for a bit so it lost a small patch of flesh at the bottom. I also fragged my radioactive birdsnest into 2 smaller frags because the bottom was apparently STNing (didn't realize until today). Some of the corals were quite moody, but they should be back to normal in a few more hours. 👍 4 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Some quick shots of the Zoa Garden: The lighting was a bit dark when taken from this angle, so the colors are darker than usual. Otherwise, it is slightly brighter, but quite colorful. I like it a lot. Once the lockdown eases, I'll pick up my pre-booked zoas & palys from the shop. 🥰 5 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Took several pics just after I turned the lights on for the day. Here is a more accurate (color-wise) snapshot of my blue hairy shroom with mild yellow highlights: Tricolor palys: A hint of yellow: Hiding between the zoas: The mini carpet nem is still bleached, but it is very sticky & receptive towards food, so I'll try to nurse it back to health.
