Snow_Phoenix
The Ironman discosoma is happier and larger today, after 24+ hours from the last WC. 😊 Yuma garden in progress. 👀 Shrooms! 🥰 Rainbow brain looking puffy: New duncan head has more tentacles (?) around the mouth. Saw a spot of color emerging in the center as well. 😊 2 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Breaking this up into 3 updates! 😅 Update 1:- Some of the palys were a bit sulky today, including the Gold Mauls. Could be because I topped off a bit *too much water in the afternoon. Eek. 👀 The other corals were perfectly fine though. Ironman shroom has now developed more tiny white dots around the edges: Hidden spotted red discosoma under blue hairy shroom: Faint yellow highlights returning on the blue hairy shroom: Yuma pile: Weeping willow sideview: Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Update 2: Sunny Ds cluster: Forest fire monti plug now fully covered! Pavona has new ripples coming up: Increased the whites & decreased the blues to take the following pics - so the shots came out a little off. Coral colors are paler than they actually are (?) : ^You can see how the colors look as if they have been *leached out with each pic. I was trying to see the effects of brighter whites & lower blues through my yellow filter lens. Not quite impressed. 😕 Stronger blues and lighter whites *with the yellow filter lens gives me a more accurate result when it comes to coral colors. Hmm. 🤔 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Update 3: A quick tour of Mushroom Mountain: Tricolor orange rhodactis: The unknown tricolor spotted discosoma - now developing more shades: ^I see green, light green, pink, yellow and hints of orange (only visible under heavy blues). I'm curious to see if it can develop more colors in the future. 🤔 2 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Trumpet twin heads: 😊 Forest fire shroom started splitting late last night. Here it is, this evening: Mushroom Mountain: Tricolor bullseye rhodactis (pic darkened) : Quite happy with this tank's growth & recovery. Next WC coming up either next Tuesday or Wednesday. 😊👍 Will try to scrape the glass & baste the rocks later - maybe even stir the sandbed. 🤔 3 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Tank is still waking up, so corals are still quite shrunken. 😊 Hungry acans: Harvey: 1 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Took these shots right after I turned on the lights this morning, so some of the corals are still closed up and shrunken. Ironman shroom: Baby Ironman: Starburst Implosion palys: 2 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Prepared all the equipment and salt today: Will try to do an 8G WC some time tomorrow. 👍 There's a greasy layer of film algae (?) on the surface of the water. So will need to mop that up with tissues as well. 🤔 2 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
WCed 8G of SW for the nanoreef today morning. Also scraped the glass, basted the rocks, stirred the sandbed, siphoned out as much cyano as possible and swapped out both the floss & carbon. Took a few pics today evening: Yuma pile: Superman discosoma: Monti taking off quite well. New branches have began to form: Peacock blue zoas - mini colony size: Blue hornets have 5 polyps now: New Devils Armor zoa polyp coming up: Garf bonsai: 4 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Two bonus throwback pics, when these were in my 2.6G picoreef, which was later upgraded to my current nanoreef:- The Zoa Tower, and the start of my zoa garden/collection: ^You can even see how bad my trumpet coral used to look like. It was originally from my large reef and was dying, so I transferred it to my picoreef. It only began recovering & growing in earnest while it was in my nanoreef. 😊 The weeping willow toadstool used to have tiny *flowers at its tips when it was much smaller, in the pico: Once it was moved to the nano, the size & color changed, but these tiny *flowers at the tips of the polyps were unfortunately no longer visible. Hopefully they'll return someday. 4 Quote Link to comment
