JBM
It seems as though I make more progress while I'm at work. Then while I'm at home. I may may need to lower the shelf. Haven't fully decided if I'm going to run a sump or not. 2 Quote Link to comment

No kidding, the trouble is, I work from home 😅 I wonder if you should indeed lower the bottom shelf, I worry the limited clearance above the sump might restrict what equipment you're able to get in and out of there. Once the plumbing is in, space only gets more restricted. You want to be sure it's all easy to service and maintain. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
JBM
Lowered the shelf. now to find time to go to homedepot and get a sheet of plywood to skin this thing. Quote Link to comment

vlangel
Nice! 20 gallon longs are nice tanks. One of my early marine tanks was a 20 L. That was in the 90s. That same tank is my sump now. (I believe in re-purposing when possible, especially when it saves me $, ha ha!) 1 Quote Link to comment
JBM
Everything is still angry from the forced move. Tank has been clear for a few hours now, here are a few that aren't so angry. Quote Link to comment

JBM
day 3 readings temp 78.5 salinty 1.026 dKh 12 calcium 440 phosphate 0.25 ppm nitrate 0 ppm Some of the corals are still pissy. Like the Monti cap, while it hasn't browned out or RTN'D... I haven't seen not one polyp. Keeping my fingers crossed and I'll be keeping an eye on it for sure. Also the brown and orange zoas are mostly angry, except for a few polyps which are open. Not to worried there, they are zoas, and usually pull through. Oddly enough, the kenya tree isnt all to happy, mostly shriveled and laying over. No signs of distress from the clown. She hasn't quiet found her home yet, but gladly eats what ever I give her. Even tried nibbling on my finger 1 Quote Link to comment

I use tongs as much as is possible for anything that I’d have to use my hand for... that doesn’t sound right... i didn’t mean that dirtily. 2 Quote Link to comment

BaristaBob
Good Idea hiding the heater with the macro. The coral rock is gonna look cool once everything grows over it. 1 Quote Link to comment

Hopefully that Island recovers. I left the room for 5 minutes, and the nem was nom'ing on the whole rock. Everything got stung and is severely shriveled and pissy. Thus quarantine Quote Link to comment

Go to feed? Jumps! Then eats like a pig. Go to move the mag cleaner. Tries to jump I opened the lid lid yesterday to acclimate the cleaner and pseudochromis. She darted right out and into the acclimation bucket. Quote Link to comment
