Thrassian Atoll
Got this guy Friday from LiveAquaria. He's doing great. Coloring up nicely and already eating well. He's about 2.5". African version. 5 Quote Link to comment

Thrassian Atoll
Got a huge piece of Montipora Confusa. It was so big I had to frag a piece off. It was like 8"x8". It's sitting in montipora row now. Also got a couple of tiny frags of pink pirdsnest and German blue digitata. Also got 1 head of a hammer. Not sure I am going to keep it though. I don't want it stinging stuff. 5 Quote Link to comment
TatorTaco
I'm jealous of your flow wizardry. You have CaribSea Arag-Alive Fiji Pink Sand which has 0.5 - 1.5mm grain size and I have CaribSea Dry Aragonite Flamingo Reef Sand which has 1-2 mm diameter grain size. How do you keep the flow high while not blowing your sand all over the place? 1 Quote Link to comment

Although I think it has decreased flow down low. I have been moving my pump around a ton trying to find the sweet spot to turn it up. The sand is actually finally starting to get stickier and not moving as much. I am hoping I can max it out soon. The sand that whirlwinds is right below the pump. Heres my flow chart hart right now. Thrassian Atoll
After almost 9 weeks it's here!! My Artfully Acrylic Clearview Lid!! It looks amazing though, not going to lie. Well worth the wait. I do wish the feed door had a hinge, as it's just removable. 7 Quote Link to comment

Yup, 9 weeks. They are backed up. I emailed them exactly at 7 weeks. He said it would be made that week and get shipped out. Was shipped the next week and took 4 days for delivery. This is a basic lid too with a single feed door. Not custom or anything. 1 hour ago, schgr.cube said: Oh wow, that lid looks amazing...I might have to order one Pretty nice! Expensive, but nice. gone_PHiSHin
damn, now i'm worried mine will take that long! that will mean more time for my new fish in the QT if it's delayed that long... oh well, just one more reason why patience is MANDATORY with this hobby. 1 Quote Link to comment
Thrassian Atoll
My yasha decided he wanted to be in the back chambers of the tank today. ?♂️ He must have went through one of the grates and then hopped from the media rack top to the other chamber. It took me forever to realize that the back chambers have a glass space underneath for some reason. What's the point of that? Anyways, my wife and I were finally able to rescue him and put him back in the main portion of the tank. Talk about a pain in the butt. Hopefully that doesn't happen again. 1 Quote Link to comment
Thrassian Atoll
Here's a picture of my Red Dragon Acropora that I bought recently. Pretty big frag. I got to meet a fellow Air Force member who is into reefing as well. Feeding time in the Coral Kingdom. Not often do I see all 3 of my fish in the same view. 6 Quote Link to comment

Thrassian Atoll
Here are some new acropora I bought recently as well as a new monti cap. I bought 6 frags from http://www.tritoncoral.com/store/c1/Featured_Products.html on the sps Facebook auction page. The frags I won were Beast, Apache Rose, Dijonaisse, Enter the Dragon, Agent Orange, and finally Raging Bull. All of these are doing great and coloring up really well. Beast Dijonaisse Apache Rose Enter The Dragon Raging Bull Agent Orange I also recently purchased this large Blue tipped Acro frag from @PacificEastAquaculture which they named Circus Show. I also got a lime green monti cap from them, that is doing great but unfortunately had one of my acros fall on it. Man, that acro tore it up. You can see where it touched it in the photo. Thrassian Atoll
The tank has been doing pretty well. I am still fighting diatoms, which at this point may actually be cyano. I am not sure yet. It is definitely getting stringy in some places. Its mainly just on the sand. I know my nitrates and phosphates are low, so I am not sure what the deal is with that. Maybe just being a newer tank? The only coral I am having an issue with is my newer Red Dragon Acropora. It has some stn on it and I am not sure why. It is the only one having any issues. It is about 5 inches from my mp10 so maybe flow? It could be nothing and just being finicky. I dont know. 7 Quote Link to comment
