Ordered my reef cleaners pkg today. I used bio spira when I added the water. Approx 5 gallons came from my dads reef tank as well as a bit of the rock and I added some sand from his tank as well. I had a diatom outbreak in no time after the new live sand and the sand from my dads tank was added.  Haven't been updating all the little things that go on behind the scenes. He let me borrow his test kits so I didn't have to wait for mine to arrive. Which luckily my Marine Depot order showed up today finally after the the order originally got damaged in shipping. Order was originally all placed May 5th. With this order I finally got my light too!!! Yay!! Still no arm from Current though. So I will get the light on it with the legs for now. I'm hoping to start putting some coral my dads been holding for me in the next day or so. Finally some good progress!! Have somewhat of a plan on where I'm going livestock wise too....

Nope no secrets! Going with leathers and maybe one Lps for the center piece depending on where I am with the $500 cap on livestock. Fish I am still up in the air. The fish I want would run me 200 or so dollars for the 2 but I think that'll eat to much into my coral budget. So still tossing fish ideas around.

How do I put a value on the corals I bought? I bought them as frags from a local reefer that my dad is friends with. I got 12 leathers total and a duncan frag. I only paid $10-$25 per frag depending on type and size. 

 

Heres the list:

1. 2" Ultra Green Staghorn Sinularia $18

2. 3" Yellow Branching Sinularia $20

3. 3" Ultra Green Sinularia $20

4. 3" Paddle Finger Sinularia $20

5. 3" Snowflake Finger Sinularia $20

6. 1" Branching Sinularia $15

7. 3" Gold Capnella $20

8. 4" Snowflake polyp Toadstool $20

9. 1" Aussie Ultra Green Toadstool $18

I feel like 10-40$ a frag is what I pay at LFS for most things so sounds fair to me.

Clown seems to be a hit with everyone that sees the tank...lol...I wasn't even gonna get a clown but my 11 year old insisted and picked her out!!☺☺
