Any one care to weigh in on this tank having a toadstool in it without running carbon?

how big of a toad? I would say it's ok as long as it is small but as it gets bigger, you definitely will need carbon.

the ones I saw this weekend we're tiny. But I'm lazy and running carbon sounds like a chore.... nahhh

So someone explain this to me. (I had my new drill stolen after just having it a month)

I went to home depot just know and I paid about 160 for the m12 driver kit last time. Now it is reduced to 129. Cool.... tool by itself is 109.... batteries are 79 each or a 2 pack for 69.99.....somehow I got the exact same driver,a impact driver, charger,2 batteries and a tool bag all in one kit for 99.99. Who the #### is pricing stuff out for milwaukee? If you are keeping count, I got 2 drills, a bag and 2 batteries for cheaper than the price of only the tool.

I used to be a Dewalt guy but one day last summer I needed a cordless stapler. Turned out Ryobi had a nice one but without a battery. It turned out to be cheaper to get the drill and circular saw combo with two batteries and a charger than it was to get just one battery. I don't understand it either but all of a sudden I've got a bunch of Ryobi tools. I was a little surprised how good they are now, they used to be the crappy cheap alternative that wasn't worth the money.

I just can't grasp the concept on how they market 1 battery 10 bucks higher than a twin back of identical batteries. Lol.

I was raised to be a dewalt and later on makita person.

Batteries. Money is in the battery replacements.....and the accessories. How's the new job going, P-Cakes?

New job is going good. I need to get to bed earlier though. Erin makes me stay up with her and I end up getting like 5 hours a night and I'm dragging a couple of hours after I get off. 5 hours used to be plenty a few years back. I guess this is what getting old like Stella feels like.

Ya, I'm sure staying up with E is a real pisser

;^ )

Welcome to my world....5 hours per night. And yes, that's what getting old is ....remember when you could pull an all nighter....or when you first started dating and you could sleep for an hour or two before the alarm went off and you were good to go? That ship set sail a long time ago.

Wow, way to bring down the party, P-Cakes.

Watching the Bachelorette and then being "too tired" from watching the Bachelorette isn't as good as you think it may be.

Those good old days were only like 2 years ago. Hahaha. Getting old hits hard and fast.

You've got awesome coral shopping skillz :)

Pictures?

Really poor picture quality and I didn't adjust the lighting at all but I'm on lunch right now and it's the only pics I have. Hoping I can get the yellow to as beautiful of a state as that more expensive one I saw.

I originally had all 4 montis, the 3 encrusting and 1 plating on the same rock. The yellow plating is 90% dead but still holding on. The red and dark blue one had the jawbreaker folding over on top of it so it had to be moved. Not sure where it's final place will be.

The little bit of the branching Monti I have left Budden down on the lowest rock under the mp10. It has been spreading out well since the tank transfer, an actual noticeable growth. I'm hoping it starts to branch soon.

That yellow guy looks really cool :)

it is! It'll be a challenge to get a decent picture. The polyps are almost exactly the same hue of blue as my lighting.

This red and blue Monti really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. I never seen Such a blue on a coral before.

Just fed the tank again. Corals eating, nubbie is flailing his nubs, water is getting dirty. Thinking a 4 gallon water change tomorrow is due.

The other day again, I turned the mp10 back on without checking. 6 line flew all around the tank and had scales everywhere which was surprising because I didn't think they had scales. It is fine though a d is back to darting through the live rock.

Forgot I even had 2 pom pom crabs. 1 is carrying around eggs. First thing to mate in my tank other than snails and limpets.

Picked up a new pocci frag and a new gorgonIan. Had to talk myself out of buying a 60 dollar grandis and a 100 dollar mushroom. This addiction is getting bad.

Pics to come when they open up.

 yes - that's exactly what it feels like. Sucks, doesn't it?

If my grandis ever grow, I'll frag you some. I have green ones and then the brown and white ones. Then some cinnamon ones. Wtf does a $100 mushie look like?

looked like a ricordea Florida buy not that thick mat, it was all discoma textured with tiny bumps. Blue with green spots and was from Australia. Looked amazing but I wouldn't have spent more than 45 or 50 on it. I don't give a shit where it's from.

And thanks for the offer! I love the green ones. I had the cinnamon twice. I always love them at the store, then don't like them in my tank. I like how heavy blues seem to reflect off the cream parts but I never run my tank too heavy on the blue spectrum.

I have some time to myself today so I figured what the hell, lets open up my computer screen. I unplugged the touchscreen harness and it works now. I wish I thought of this months ago. Any who, since I could now upload actual pictures, I decided to play around with the camera. I know the camera is capable of much better in the hands of someone that knows what they are doing, but here is my basic point at it and shoot pictures. You can see, that a few corals are pissed for some reason. ugly zoas on the bottom have a sponge growing around them which I am allowing because I wantt hem out. The older gorgo also shut yesterday afternoon and isnt really happy too much today neither. not sure why, as I have never had an issue with it before. A few other things are ususally happier but it is what it is.

Somehow Erin talked me into getting a bicolor Blenny. Don't know what the world is coming to when I say "I don't want to spend money" and she talks me into the store.

Could be worse.......it has great color....personality. .....and she shares some "like" of the tank.

Wait til you get married. .........

2 of my montis and my birdsnest and 1 hammer still look like shit. Did an emergency water change last night since i noticed flesh disapearing off the montis a little bit but they still all look like shit. Dont know whats going on, but it is a bit of a downer.
