Do the strands seem kind of feather like? I moved your topic to the Aquarium Journals forum, since this documents your BC29 as much as it does your rad black sun coral I hope this is OK! BJV
Hi All, After a lot of thought and reading, I gave my tank the Fluconazole treatment for my algae problem. I am on day 7 of the 14 day treatment. Here are a couple of photos of how it is going. Barry Day 1 Day 7 3 Quote Link to comment
Christopher Marks
Looks to be very effective so far, great progression. It's awesome to see more success with Fluconazole. Quote Link to comment
teenyreef
Nice! Fluco worked pretty well for my gha, and what it didn't kill seems to be more amenable to traditional clean up crew controls. Quote Link to comment
BJV
Hi All, Just a little update with my battle with bryopsis, below are a couple of photos to compair. Today was my 14th day of treatment and I also did a water change. All I can say is using Fluconazole is just amazing. Barry 3 Quote Link to comment

BJV
Hi All, Now that bryopsis is a thing of the past I took a couple of pic today. Below is my Dendro I have had it a year. When I first got it there were only 5 heads. and now there are over 20. Barry 7 Quote Link to comment
Panda_corals
How often do you feed the dendros? They look awesome! 12 minutes ago, BJV said: Hi All, Now that bryopsis is a thing of the past I took a couple of pic today. Below is my Dendro I have had it a year. I have a dendro, too, but I ended neglecting my tank and feeding it infrequently last year, and as result I nearly lost it. I managed to nurse it back to health with a lot of feeding, and now it's growing a new head. It's nice to see they can grow fast. Quote Link to comment
BJV
Hi All, I took this photo last night after feeding. The lights had been out and turned back for the photo. Check out the size of the dendro in the back. Barry 6 Quote Link to comment
Idaho ken
Beautiful Suns! I thought they had to be placed in more of a "dark" area and low to the ground?? Quote Link to comment
samnaz
^ I thought so as well. What kind of lighting are you running on this tank? Quote Link to comment
GregEmmitte
Depends on the species. Non branching sun coral of any variety ( I have ) can get any form of light. My branching sun corals ( black and pink ) typically only open in the dark. I'm currently attempting to train my black suns to eat in light. Barry, awesome set up 1 Quote Link to comment
