Proudgeek
Thanks, had to start it all over when I electrocuted everything. First when I started the hobby I thought zoas were going to be my favorite, no, then I thought acans, no, it was flowers. How big are yours? Because once they get 2-2.5" they'll be of age to spawn and you'll find out their gender. I have 2 at or larger than 2 inches. A third is close. The remaining ones are between 1/2 and 1 inch. It will take some time but it will be fun once it happens. 1 Quote Link to comment

It's just fascinating to me because you can't make duplicates by fragging, you have to let nature do it's thing and be surprised by what happens. 1 Quote Link to comment

FlowerMama
lol yes. I just want them to get busy now I have some Barry White I need to play for them. I seriously bought the cd just for them. I heard plants do better w/ music. It would be cool if you could somehow pipe it into the tank. Quote Link to comment

TimberC
Hey guys, I just wanted to share a few pics of some RFAs that have been born in my tank. They look terrific under my new Nanobox Duo Plus M that I received few days ago. I highly recommend Nanobox fixtures. My anemones have never looked better! These pics are taking with my Samsung S7 and truly represent how awesome the RFAs look in person 6 Quote Link to comment

I tried using my iPhone 7 but the blue LEDs drown out everything! I also have the Nanobox Duo Plus M Quote Link to comment

I have tried taking pics with my friend's iPhone 6 and 7 and the pictures turn out pretty crappy. I believe the camera on the Galaxy 7 is much better than the iPhone. Quote Link to comment

Thanks, tank has had some problems which i'm hoping to sort out with addition of extra tank then it should be all systems go. Picked up another Bali rock flower nem this week, interested to see if they will interbreed with the regulars and through up some unusual colours. Quote Link to comment

Minidoll
I bought my first RFA yesterday at Reefapalooza for my little 5 gallon softie tank. Out of all my purchases, I was most excited with this one! I checked on it just before lights went out but it was nowhere in sight. It has completely disappeared. I have some recordias on the sand bed. Is it possible that they ate it? That seems a bit far fetched to me but it's all I can come up with. I'm so upset about this. Quote Link to comment
seabass
Minidoll, it probably went under a rock. 1 Quote Link to comment
Minidoll
Should I take eut my rocks to find it or just leave it alone? Quote Link to comment
Slowtwitch
Should I take eut my rocks to find it or just leave it alone? Leave it be for a while. It'll likely come out on its own. Probably in a place where you can't easily see it.... 2 Quote Link to comment

Slowtwitch
Baby rock flowers. Never saw the spawning event but Ive seen several babies over the last couple of days now. Most of which I can't get pictures of in the big tank. All I had to take pictures was the cell phone. Hope the colors develop more with time. There is also a bright green skirt with red face that I have seen but was hiding when I had the camera out. I have already seen a couple of them catch and eat small pieces of food so hopefully they will grow quickly. 1 Quote Link to comment
Minidoll
Thank you Seabass and Slowtwitch for your help! I'll just leave it be and hope that it will reappear soon. 1 Quote Link to comment
seabass
Should I take eut my rocks to find it or just leave it alone? I'd probably at least look for it. Sometimes they reappear on their own, and sometimes they stay in an unlit area (to their own detriment). You won't be able to move it off the rock, but you might be able to reorient the rock to give it some light. 1 Quote Link to comment
kimberbee
WTF, why does everyone get babies but me?!? I've had rock flowers for more than a year and a half now. No way I have 18 all the same gender! Quote Link to comment
seabass
WTF, why does everyone get babies but me?!? I'm not sure; but just out of curiosity, do you have lots of flow? Quote Link to comment
kimberbee
I'm not sure; but just out of curiosity, do you have lots of flow? I wouldn't say lots. I have the stock pump (IM 10), plus an RW-4 set on the lowest speed, using a half power adapter. I have 3 big ones, palm sized. 3-4 are quarter sized or smaller. And the rest somewhere in between. Never witnessed any spawning though. Wondering if there's something I could be doing differently? Quote Link to comment
