Thank you! It's just the stock return pump that comes with the PicO, I believe it is the Rio 220 or 160.

Really thinking about getting mystery box with free shipping from salt critters, for some reason I am really tempted by it

do it =). so i know what's in it. haha. can you make suggestions? like no SPS or only Aussie rainbow acans =P

I want to but I think I am just gonna pick out some corals, just because of the chance of just getting like 1 coral. I would rather spend it on 9 or 10

I've been eying the Pink Zippers too! I've never kept z's or p's in the past but am considering making a designated rock for them this time around. Nice haul :D

Z's and P's I have found to not be that difficult to keep. I am pretty excited about these ones, I was sold after I saw the $19.99 free shipping and they gave me a call right after I placed an order thanking me, so good customer service so far.

So I received my order from unique coral today and just got them in the tank about 20 minutes ago after acclimating and dipping them. They are all starting to open up already which is always a good feeling especially with all of them being single polyp frags. Unique coral definitely did a great job with the packaging and shipping and I would recommend them for sure. Their $19.99 shipping is pretty awesome too. I will try to get some pictures up over the weekend. I also plan on picking up an emerald crab this weekend because I noticed a few digitate hydroids and I read that emerald crabs could possibly eat them so I am going to give that a try first.

Thank you! So the new piece of sps I got, called tenuous at the store I got it, is almost completely bleached now. I thought it was possible I didn't acclimate it enough to my lights so I turned them down to try to help but it did not stop the bleaching. The other sps I have has not been affected at all by my lights so I'm thinking it could have been something else but not positive.

So went to a LFS in Salt Lake City, UT and was pretty amazed at a couple things I saw specifically this tank with a monstrous clam in it so I couldn't resist taking a couple iPhone pics so here ya go

So woke up this morning and noticed this guy, I believe it to be an asternia star. Pretty amazed I have never seen it before. I have read that they can be good and bad especially if they start multiplying like crazy.

Also I noticed some weird white stuff growing in a few spots in my tank and I am clueless as to what it is so if anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated. Here is what it looks like. You can see it at the bottom of this ric's frag plug.

In other news I believe I am starting to get some red cyano on my sand bed. I have decreased the amount of time my lights are on by about 2 hours but may decrease the time even more with a possibility of a couple day black out. Also I am going to be working on doing a 100% water change or more over a couple days to make sure I get all excess nutrients out of the tank. I am also hoping that doing this will also help get rid of at least some of the digitate hydroids. I am going to also decrease the amount I have been feeding to see if this helps also.

How often did you see them growing? I am working on clearing those white growths and doing a 100% WC over a couple days and quite a bit of tank maintenance

Definitely a sponge, my tank is full of it. Like ninja said it will bother some corals if it grows on them so just scrape it off if you can.

What did you use to scrape them off, I have been using just a toothbrush while I am doing a water change and keeping the siphon near it while I scrub it.

I have used a razor blade a couple of times and it takes it off really easy.
