So you effectively hid some good news in my thread. You gonna spread it around? :)

I hid some good news? Oh, you mean the future munchkin? I talked about it like a month ago or so, you may have just missed it :)

But a new problem - the fan control circuit isn't working with Bluefish Mini control :(

Grats! My kids are the best thing that ever happened to me. Sometimes, I even realize it when they are near me ;)

Board. The Mini is putting out 3.3v, exactly as it should. Even shorting the 12v output to activate the pin doesn't work, and if for some reason the Mini wasn't providing enough power, now it would be working, but it isn't, so there is another problem somewhere. O2Surplus is looking into it.

For now, I've got this to show.

And holy shit that's a LOT of PAR. 150 dead center at 26", 100 at the far edges, and 225 dead center at 18".

I'll probably end up using only two of the T5 and I also reduced total LED wattage from 286w to 196w to reduce output more in line to what I need. Not using the SemiLEDs violets at all now, didn't even connect them up, just the LEDgroupbuy violets.

Great, now I managed to #### up one of the boards. Dropped my metal tweezers and it shorted one out, killed a driver and one of the boards. #### my life.

Dang dude looking good!!!

Thanks!

what percent are those LEDs running at?

In that photo 100%

Now that the tank has light again, it got its first frozen food feeding since last Sunday. I usually do that feeding late (between 9 and 10) so that my betta will be a bit more 'awake' and get more food. After putting it in, the betta went kinda nuts, was darting all over around the rock structure grabbing food. I always worry about it getting enough, but now it is getting much more bold so I don't think it'll be a problem going forward.

I also saw the geometric pygmy hawk darting out and grabbing food. Hadn't seen it for a little while now so I wasn't sure if it was still around, but it is there :)

I did lose a blue gudgeon in the last few days, somehow jumped right out. I think that was the last of the three I got a while back.

Doesn't really look like you need the t5s for coverage ;)

Nope, it's the way that LEDs should be, no lenses and spread out :)

Adam from Battlecorals uses Reefbreeders value boxes over his SPS growout, gets better growth and better color than with his halide setup.

The holding tanks at most places that specialise in coral are so old and stable that you could probably grow SPS under a candle.

They probably put the candles under the tank and then have the frag racks and corals upside down :D
