Christopher Marks
Seeing that 5 gallon bucket tucked in there made me think of these containers: https://www.webstaurantstore.com/37515/food-storage-boxes-and-covers.html?filter=color:clear Maybe there's one that you could make work? I think there's a member here that designed a bucket sump as well! Quote Link to comment

This is a very old photo of my first saltwater tank, the nanocube. You can see I cut out those sections (a few inches?) in the back to fit it. Eshopps nano overflow and a random return pump. Worked really well and was awesome to have a nice sized refugium! Back then I didn't know better than bioballs LOl Quote Link to comment

I'll have to research it a little more, the 18" is 1/2" too big. Quote Link to comment

vlangel
There has got to be some sort of container that you can use. My son used Rubbermaid bins a lot and they come in an assortment of dimensions. Quote Link to comment

teenyreef
The new stand looks great! And MUCH less scary than the old stand. I don't think I could have waited even long enough to finish the new stand, I'd have been too scared I have a Somatic sump under my 30g tank, and it would fit in your 17.5 x 17.5 available space. But like all purpose-made sumps, it's way more expensive than a DIY sump. Quote Link to comment

Pjanssen
Also, should I be concerned that the Palys/Zoas on the left will take over? I like them, but not at the expense of the purple ones next to them 2 Quote Link to comment
Pjanssen
I forgot to mention (Sorry @HarryPotter), the other 2 monti caps, couldn't get a good picture but there is a red one and the other is a Christmas! Now all I need is one of @teenyreef's purple ones! 3 Quote Link to comment
