My first fly. I was so proud of it till I took a macro shot :laff: It's beyond hideous lol.

Not entirely too happy with this. I overexposed and had some problems getting green to show like it was in reality. Also wish I had brought a wider lens, but I could only bring one with me on yesterday's mountain biking outing. On a more positive note, Spring has arrived in SoCal and there should be a ton to shoot now.

SoCal has seasons? I thought it was spring there all year round.

Instead of being 50 degrees, which is too cold for most of SoCal's soft residents, its 75 degrees. :P

sounds like Murrells Inlet to be honest. We get about a month and a half of sub-50 weather, then it jumps up to 60-75 range.

Of course then summer hits and we get 90+ degrees with 90%+ humidity :(

No humidity where I'm at. At least not to where it's uncomfortable.

My team had another match today, so I shot what I could. Trying out exporting to PNG to see if it will be worth the extra hassle. Facebook makes JPEGs look so bad and seems to let PNGs keep their quality.

Got bored today, so what did I do? Stacked more lenses. I got three on top of the big lens before I chickened out. The 50 1.2 is stacked on the 85 which is hidden beneath the lens hood.

way behind on posting, catching up...

the wife's new ride. I can't wait to get started on it :)

side profile for photoshop purposes
trying to get better at full tank shots, it's so hard to show off how the lighting looks.

More tennis photos for me. Coaching takes it's toll on shooting time. I'm not entirely happy with this one, as pushing the shadows for detail left a ton of color noise, but the detail of the dust from the ball hitting the strings was worth it to me.

it doesn't look bad to me at all

So glad it's going to be nice this weekend so I can take pictures outside.

Thanks. That vivarium is enormous! This wide shot really puts the scale into perspective.

yeah it's quite large and the frogs are deceptively small lol. they're about the dize of a nickel. overkill in the extreme.
