I took a bunch of shots over the weekend when we went home to visit family, and then immediately proceeded to delete them off the camera before I had imported them to LR accidentally.

It sucks to lose photos. Does this include the family photos? Also, I love the shot of the brom flowers. So tiny and under appreciated.

Washed my truck today. Took a step back to make sure I didn't miss any spots, and saw this. Luckily my camera bag was still in the cabin, so I snapped this one off real quick. It's the little things that keep me going.

Yeah but they weren't "official" photos or anything, just random stuff I had taken over the weekend. I had them on the import screen in LR but had switched back to the internet while they were loading, then flipped back to the screen later thinking I had already imported them and deleted them off the camera.

Lesson learned. Don't delete pictures off the camera till you're done editing them.

Yea I don't normally format my cards until the photos have been backed up on two hard drives.

Today was a beach day. Had some fun shooting the surfers, but this shot took the cake for me.

More from the beach. Probably will hit the beach again tomorrow. Even with the reach of a 400mm lens, this is heavily cropped. f/2.8 gave me some room to shoot ISO100 so I could crop more while retaining a very low noise image.

I was scouting out a new location today for an upcoming engagement shoot. We went to Soka American University. It's a really nice place with plenty to shoot, so looking forward to doing work there soon. This was concepted by myself, but I had my assistant (sister) press the shutter release.

I see tons of potential there

Yea. Most of what I saw there is going to be more fun to shoot at dusk or sunset. The other place I scouted will have to do for the day hours. Here it is:

I'm getting really bad about actually taking a picture every day. I always fail at these right when it starts to get warm.

After reading for a few hours, and a couple beers, I went outside, and noticed an unusually clear night sky. This shot has by far the most stars I've been able to capture in any of my night shots.
