Just some small fishies in the five gallon.... "GOOD FOR KIDS" what are you going to do? Feed the fish to the children?

I've never understood why this guy's tank is half actinic half normal? Also....a tiny bit overpriced lol

Wouldnt having a huge half empty tank make your living room smell like the dark side of Ron Jeremy's moon?

do people ever sell their tanks at these ridiculous prices???

Sadly, yes. Funny thing with people who have money. My dad once put a bid on a job through our cousin who has a lot of money. My cousin told him he wouldnt get the job because he didnt make it HIGH enough. After they said no, he put in another bid, tripling his labor cost and got the job. To some people, just the fact of saying "I spent this much money on this thing" makes them feel like they actually have something better than they really do.

Can't anyone on Craigslist proofread?

"refugion filtration"

"has tow coral life 24" metal halide"

I was going to keep quoting, but I would have copy/pasted the whole thing...

P.S. bio balls, 'nuff said

I think peoples phones are set on autocorrect and their phone posts the ads while they are not looking!

Not exactly a fail, just interesting.

A skimmer for your nano.

After looking through some of the local "saltwater" aquarium sales I think I've figured out the equation people use to price tanks on CL.

If you list it as a "saltwater" tank, just add a 0 to the end of your overall tank gallon size. A 45 gallon tank is thus worth $450 on CL. If you're not happy with that, multiply by 2. ;)

I find this guys prices a little absurd.

1k for 'custom' led lighting. If it is DIY i have no idea if its wired properly (or safely) or not without taking it apart.

450 for used MP40s is a bit steep, i can spend 15 more and get new ones from MD.

1k for 120lbs of live rock is out of this world in my area. the LFS sells 'premium' live rock for about 4-5lb

He wants more for a used skimmer than what it costs new

Same with the return pump

I would seriously LOL if the guy wanted 200 for 2 aqualifters

And im willing to bet the sump is a DIY project

The only thing i see in the ballpark is the tank itself

Most people call those advertisements.

I also like how the signs that say "Freshwater Fish" have clowns on them...

Speaking of crap like that, saltwater mixed with freshwater, there is this show on Disney called "Shake It Up" that my sister likes to watch and I watch it with her. In one episode, the pizza place gets a huge freshwater tank. You can clearly see there are only koi. This kid character walks up and says "Oh look clownfish, and eels, and gouramis, and ooh a triggerfish!" and other stuff like that. Then they have the nerve to make one of the characters say something like "Oh wow you're so smart."

Wow. Just wow.
