Yeah that is exactly what I was thinking. I just need to find that in Canada to avoid retarded shipping costs.

I am building a similar setup and I am going to buy one of theses they are very clean http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/catalog/product/view/id/1810/'>http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/catalog/product/view/id/1810/ plus I plan on leaving it on when not around the tank but when I am around it I plan on taking it off for viewing purposes. It's post number 136 on this thread http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/287207-mr-microscopes-cube-new-movie-post-483/page-6'>http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/287207-mr-microscopes-cube-new-movie-post-483/page-6

Zoanthids under blue led. Still recovering from digitate hydroids growing in between the polyps and stinging the life out of them.

Loving the tank but more importantly, loving the stand !

I see that you used 3/4 Inche MDF for the front/side panel's.

Mind sharing how you prepared and painted them ?

There are multiple coats of primer, sanded in-between (MDF really sucks a lot of this in, especially on the ends) Multiple coats of paint, sanded and two coats of polyurethane. There is more detailed info in the thread somewhere.

  I like everything here!

Thank you!

Something is definitely funky with my dosing. I'm having to dose around 115 ml per 24 hours of two part (recipe #1) to keep my alk and cal up....this can not be right. My magnesium is up around 1300. Any ideas?

Looking good any updated full tank shots? And those pictures of Mexico are great it's really beautiful there but then again the PNW is beautiful too

arhhh... the second large and expensive piece (not pictured) is RTN all over the base and making the water cloudy and stink in the QT with all the other corals, I don't know if I should leave it, frag the tops or take the entire thing out.....running carbon and making up water for a emergency WC

Sick tank. FTS?

Thanks, Soon!

Tank looks incredible so far. Awesomely clean build and beautiful corals

Fantastic shots BTW

Thanks Hype. Now I just need to figure out where my massive two part consumption is coming from and stabilize things.

So the addition of two really nice aquacultured pieces from Bali ended up with an ordeal. One of them quickly started RTN from the base up after acclimation and dip, the other polyps out and happy right away. The piece really didn't like the dip or I didn't get enough of a look at it in the store but it went down fast. The QT became cloudy with a strong acro death smell and everything in the tank closed up looking very bad. I setup a TLF reactor with lots of carbon and filter floss and did a quick emergency water change. Eventually everything opened back up and looks healthy again.

So my acclimation and dipping procedure ends with an overnight dip in a container with a heavy bleach solution. The dip works great against any pests and melts the tissue off the coral like magic! When its done it ends up looking beautiful and bone white like this!

Actually the piece was going downhill fast and taking the rest of the tank with it. I decided to frag off some tiny pieces that were unaffected and cut my losses. It was frustrating to see such a big beautiful piece go down, it was very bright green with yellowish white polyps. You can see what little is left of it in the pics above.

Everything in the tank returned to normal. As I have no fish nitrate additions and food for the corals I've been dosing occasionally zeovit coral vitalizer, sponge power and phol's xtra. The acro frags have taken on a deep dark colored appearance. Especially the red planet which is now a deep red with green moving up the frag replacing the whitish stocks.

Where in Atlanta? I go to the Nemo Aquariums in Lilburn. Best saltwater LFS around where I am.

And awesome you're in the South east. Thought I was the only one.

Spending the night at home with the reef tonight. Broke my hand mountain biking, Index metacarpal spiral fracture right through. Its sitting right in place so we see on Monday if I need surgery.

mesenterial filaments at the base, maybe scoping the area for future encrusting?

One month of growth shots on the millepora in my QT tank. Things are growing better in here than my display tank.
