Kazooie
New Google SketchUp's of how the stand will look, with tank. I'd have shown plumbing but can't figure out how to draw cylinders and stuff. Front-the one on the left has door on, the one on the right dosn't. How everything will fit inside. Back of stand to show where wiring will be. The front of the stand and corner metal piece will be removable, so as to get in the stand. It will be held to the stand with Velcro or something. Zer0
Use magnets. Velcro sucks in comparison. Link to comment
Kazooie
Ok, should I use the really strong ones or will any work? Link to comment
Zer0
If you are going to put magnets on each corner, then don't use ones that are too strong, otherwise you will likely be fighting the stand to get the door off, depending on the material being used for the stand. If the wood is thin, light magnets will be fine. If it's thicker wood, obviously stronger/bigger magnets will be needed. Link to comment
Kazooie
The wood on the front will probably be 1/2, but the corners will be made of metal. So I'm assuming it'll be heavy? It'll probably be made of birch. Link to comment
Zer0
That probably will be pretty heavy. Link to comment
Kazooie
Would 1/4 or 1/3 inch be better? Link to comment
Zer0
1/4" wood is pretty thin. The thinner you get, the easier it is to break. It really all depends on what you want to do. But since it's just the door, I guess you could get away with 1/4". Link to comment
