I have to agree with MJ, if you enjoyed the build, a canopy to match would be awsome. B)

And thanks for the good thoughts, we take a one day at a time approach. Today was a good day. :) Hope all is well for you. :flower:

Given the way your stand is turning out, I really think you should build a canopy to match. It would really be the icing on the cake. ;)

Think so too.

I will do the change -over first to clear some space and start on the canopy later. The new tank can start up with my old fixture for now methinks.

It's all we can do.

So I am making RODI and filling plastic tubs in prep for the "big day"

I do have a plan of attack, but we all know how that goes. :P

fingerscrossed for the safe transfer of my critters.

Time to begin project "UPGRADE- CRITTER SWAP"

T-minus 24 hrs and counting......

Can't wait to see the wet water in the tank!

I fear an incredible sand cloud will commence.

I have never worked with this sand before and it looks pretty fine.

Once it does clear some and params seem in range I will return some rock to the new tank and slowly add as I think I can.

I will also have my HOT magnum on there to help with the funk.

I doubt the Vortech will see much use in the first week with the sand being as fine as it looks to be, but we'll see.

Working on plumbing and 110v layouts now. tic-toc-tic-toc

Yippee!!!!! So exciting! :D

*sigh* RODI is ssssslllllooooowwww tonight. About 2gal per hour <_<

I mounted a 4ft power strip across the back of the stand.

Has 10 outlets. This will be constant power and I will run other strips off of this.

I remembered I had this available and I'm glad I did, worked out sweet.

Please forgive me now for not being around much in the next few days. I am so far behind on everyones threads. :(

This is how we stand right now. About 10 gallons short of being able to run the system.

I have run out of RODI and my salt mix bucket is rock bottom.

Time for a road trip. OG II here I come.

Hey. It is wet! You won, but not by much! Only hours! ;)

I ran the ro di line to my tank and it is fillin now. I'll add salt if the leak test passes.

It take a long time to make 210 gallons of ro di ;)

your tank and stand look great! It looks like our 46B first marine tanks are coming down together. Mine will run through the end of the year while this one cycles.

Looking forward to more pics!

Meh, we'll call it a draw. ;)

Poor 46 is sitting out in the backyard collecting rain water. Since I started reefing it seems like there is a tank out there every winter.

210 gal of RODI? Yup, could take some time. :P

210 is closing in on 100 gallons in it now I think.

Yours should be full? Pics?

Yippeeeee for water should"ve gotten yourself some buckets and made water for weeks LikeI did This is going to be a great tank !!!!

Actually, I did. I had rubbermaid tubs all over the house. :P

I had counted on using some from the 46 but after getting the "hospital tubs" set up and running, I didn't like the look, or smell of what was left. -_-

Looking good, should be filled by now, fire that thing up.

It is. ;)
