so...cam is still at repair shop, problem was identified and is bein fixed. :D

ATO News:

hooked up the ATO last nite and she werks PERFECTLY. i even managed, somehow, to get the float-switch level dead-on the first time! I watched it fill the tank to the perfect level 2 times yesterday! it was exciting, lol. :D

anyways, tank already looks happier with the ATO involed. so, i guess i cant say enuf about how cool these are.... if youre thinking of getting one....DO IT! (it's totally werth the $'s, especially if you go on 6 vacations a year like we do, lol.)

i have sorta the same scape going with 1 piece of LR almost breaching the surface. have you noticed any drawbacks with this?

just FYI mine is 3 pieces of LR fit together like puzzle pieces.

and no, i havent noticed any drawbacks to this tall-tall style of scaping. in fact i have this really cool lokking patch of macro algaes growing at the top, its neat! its also where the clown sleeps @ night.

ooooooohhhhhhh yyaaaaaa!

i finally did something right ya'll!

for the first time in my fishkeeping career, my GF TOLD ME to spend money on a new tank :o

this is how i accomplished such a feat....

1) get a bunch a cash from atm.

2) take GF for "drive" and wind up @ BestBuy.

3) set her loose in the laptop section. (no holds barred.)

4) buy her everything she needs to be on her super new laptop (myspace) all freakin day...

5) as we walked out, she said i could spend the change on a new tank..(we got $400 in discounts)

LIFE IS GOOD... B)

So what's the plan?

hmm.....

simplicity at its finest weets'.

- all sides viewable "curved glass" 10g.....(looks like a 10g picotope :D)

- 20lbs. of LS, adding 5lbs. more LR, and building a custom cave for the sun corals.

- moving all the livestock/corals from the 5.5g into this tank.

- adding a large female clown for my male to pair w/.

- adding moar sexy's, an udder inverts.

- 4x24w T5HO fixture (soon as i can get a decent deal.) ;)

- long term goal is overall success and a thriving sps / garden tank.....

Nice pico dude, I thought for a second that 10g might be a sump for the pico, I'm sure it will be sweet

Looking at your tank makes me wanna throw a monti frag in my 6 gallon jbj

Good luck with the new setup, have you decided on a color combo to start for you T5HO setup?

nice Pismo, the 5.5s don't last long before upgraded it seems :D

i would have kept it, but other things are in the werks for that tank.....

that, and the fact that i didnt plan for space properly in the 5.5....this is MUCH better

(and its pretier too!) ;)

so, i fully moved the tank over and scaped everything....the tank is totally viewable from all sides, and has enuf clearance to clean all of the glass....

livestock is openin' back up and 'salespitch' is one happy clownfish....

First of all I Love your clowns name.

I was thinking sump also but then I thought that was too nice a tank for a sump. It looks awesome! Great planning on the scape. I will have to remember that when its time to upgrade.

P.S. is 'salespitch' ok after all that mike's?
