purplefirefish Posted December 1, 2008 Author Share Posted December 1, 2008 while setting up the sexy tank... i noticed the following.. hope hes safe... haha. i havent seen him again since the first day... but as far as the tank goes...what shes looking like today... and the last coral i got seems to fit right into a hole in this rock... guess i'll have to wait and see how long it takes before the hermits move it for me. I dont think I ever listed my equipment for this tank... 10 gallon aga. AC20 The filter that came with the pico set up started out with 15lb live rock from existing system, not sure where im at now.. 24lb live sand - 10lb from existing system and 14lb from LFS systems JBJ ATO system lighting.. i dont remember the exacts.. 20" coralife fixture.. i think they said 96w. its 2 compact fluorescent bulbs.. a couple strands of macro algae living behind the LR as far as stocking... 4 little bitty hermits, 2 snails, 3 sexy shrimp, 1 mandarin shrimp, 1 hitch hiking crab, and 1 really big hitch hiking brittle... Those are some nice colonies. Well placed. How's that one on the back right? If it's sitting on the glass you may wanna move it for cleaning purposes. Either way looks good! Link to comment

purplefirefish Posted January 9, 2009 Author Share Posted January 9, 2009 i changed the light fixture.... i got the finnex 36" LED/T5 Combo Aluminum Light Fixture... 15 LEDs and 4 T5's... and i went with the following bulbs: 2 - ATI 39W Blue Plus T5 HO Fluorescent 1 - UV Lighting 36" 39w T5 Super Blue Actinic Lamp 1 - 39W Korallen-Zucht T5 Fiji Purple Special Red/Blue i'll post new pics this weekend Link to comment
purplefirefish Posted January 12, 2009 Author Share Posted January 12, 2009 ha, an update with the new lights.... tons of pics... first with some stuff in the 10 gallon, heres the mystery crab that ive been told to junk, skewer, or let it bake out in the sun haha. and a small bubble of eggs recently showed up... now on to the 30 gallon. heres a picture taken right before i changed the fixture, dont mind the messy glass! and after.... (i have to admit, its taking time for me to get used to the change... i still like some items in the tank with the other lights better) Link to comment
