That stuff is impossible to remove and will quickly take over a tank. Speaking from experience, if that is what it is, try and remove it all now. Good Luck. Link to comment

Yuppers, I think its dicyota dichotoma look here..>..Algae page linky The rock had a good amount when I got it, but it all withered during the cycle. I am happy to see its return. It is fun to see some excitement in a tank since mine is not there yet! Thanks so much Sue! Really not such an impressive FTS at this point. BUT, it is a contest requirement so..... Still soft -n- fuzzy rocks spotted this red feather tonight, see it?? not sure what this it either, but I likey! Really have no clue what this little feller is just left of the feather, but its going to be cool watching develop And the nasty FTS... why is it I cant focus on ANY of the cool stuff, but the camera pics up a shmear on the glass that I can't even see with the naked eye????? As you can see the CUC has been added and have put in one days work. Sadly I continue with manual removal and try to gain on this GHA. I will give these guys a week or two to do their thing before I think about adding a cuke or lettuce nudi ....There is soo much color hidden by the hair its a shame.... Link to comment
