LucasYes
Hi, I’m new here, so I won’t be writing a 3 paragraph essay, as I don’t know the community. My emerald crab, turned brownish, and he’s just sitting there, not moving a muscle. I’ll include a picture, but I hope he’s not dead. https://www8.online-convert.com/dl/web7/download-file/5b3d0395-02b8-4071-b2ec-a9e4a08a5734/image.webp Here’s the picture, sue me if it’s a virus. Murphs_Reef
It could be that the emerald crab has a virus? Could use more info and a picture... Ie not a link? Quote Link to comment
LucasYes
It’s a link to a picture, does it not work? got him a week ago, he was pretty small the water quality is great, well according to my tests and my pet store anyways. Did a water change a 4 days before I got the crab. Quote Link to comment

LucasYes
Oh ok that’s ok although I don’t think emerald crabs turn brown. Quote Link to comment
rough eye
that gravel isn't really suited to a salt water tank. is there a lot of algae growing? emerald crabs need that to munch on. have you tested ammonia lately? if he's dead could be a rise in ammonia. Quote Link to comment
LucasYes
Ok, there’s about 55 pounds of gravel in the tank, removing it would take a whole lot of effort, the ammonia spike, I don’t think so, all my other fish are doing okay, should I take the crab out to see if it’s a molt?
