Hi, I’m new here, so I won’t be writing a 3 paragraph essay, as I don’t know the community. My emerald crab, turned brownish, and he’s just sitting there, not moving a muscle. I’ll include a picture, but I hope he’s not dead. https://www8.online-convert.com/dl/web7/download-file/5b3d0395-02b8-4071-b2ec-a9e4a08a5734/image.webp Here’s the picture, sue me if it’s a virus.

I saw my hermit crab playing around with some massive shells I have in my tank and I thought to make a time-lapse of what is happening. I had no idea that it will actually change shell considering it is very small compared to the shells in the tank! But well, it did change shell and here is the time-lapse. https://imgur.com/gallery/EZa5T1n I am a bit worried though! The crab is too small for that shell and it had hard time walking with it. I wonder if he can get back to where his original shell is and go back into it. (I did not change location of its original shell). This is the same crab that killed two babylonia snails. My best guess is that it likes fancy shells and just kill or take any fancy shell it sees.

Just a quick question about my fire shrimp I got last friday. Last night i noticed that he had molted which i understand to be common when they are introduced to a new environment. I read some forum and articles on wether to remove it or not but decided to leave to so the shrimp and rest of the clean up crew could eat at it. Well tonight when i got home from work i noticed it hasn't been touched. Should i remove it since no one is really going for it? It also a newer nano tank so my bacteria isn't completely built up yet.
