Just picked this up from the fellow I have the 24k lepto rock too.

He said it is a piece of a Leng Sy cap… Have to see how this grows out.

Looks like a Leng Sy to me! Really cool build by the way.

Some of these corals are really in high gear for growth.

I had the Anemone in an acrylic container while fighting Dino’s as he wanted to move around.  Put him in the rear/ side since there is more room.  Seems to like the spot but also seems like he has already grown a lot. I gave the 24k lepto rock to a fellow reefer who has more room.

Reef  is looking great!

some quick i phone photos

Great to see it all working out! This is turning into a really nice reef.

How long does it take you to walk from the tank to the sump down below? Great to have all the noise far away.

It's not very far...funny that DOS pump is so loud we can hear it upstairs. it kicks on quite often as it does an auto water change throughout the day.

i have to say putting the sump downstairs was a great decision,my maintance is so much easier, with auto water change and the mixing station...i should have done this years ago.

Anecdotal but I think having the long run to the sump and return back up to the tank is the reason my PH is doing so well. (Or at least helps) The PH is fairly consistent 8.37-8.5.  I use Kalk stirrer and only have it dose at night. I could probably verify by putting sump under cabinet to see if PH is affected, but.... Why mess up a good thing...

I'll leave it as a mystery  🙂

*I think My PH probe needed calibration.  After calibrating I found it to be around 8ish...

I'll see if this changes the next time I do a calibration

Can't go wrong with the classics! Even your username shows your age; nothing like a nice pair of true percs. Designer clowns can't even remotely compare.

Earlier in the thread I was wondering about how this 7 month photo would compare

*I have moved coral, added a couple frags along the way, and trimmed coral that was touching each other a few times now…

7 months

Thank you!

It really is coming along nicely. Once they get a little size it is amazing how fast they grow

Yes amazing under white lights. the growth appears to pick up the pace when it gets a few branches.

You will be very happy when you start seeing the the difference when comparing photos each month. it keeps you excited!

I have contemplated adding a file fish after I seeing a few Aptasia.   Yes no guarantee but I will give it a try.

I have a place to put him for a while if it ends up going sour.

I slipped him in last night just after the lights went off.   Pumps are set to calm over night.  He seems like he is doing well, already watch him go around the tank.
Now that the pumps are on he seems to find shelter amount the gorgonians.  It is a tiny little thing about 3/4”
