CrazyEyes
Got the 20g all setup, man the extra space is really nice. I'm glad I picked up a 2nd prime, might pickup a 2nd powerhead. All in all, I'm stoked. 2 Quote Link to comment

CrazyEyes
I know it's been awhile since I've posted on here, not alot has changed since, corals are growing and looking really well, except one of the acros, it looks like it's starting to turn white on the bottom, whereas the rest are doing great and really encrusting great on the rocks and starting to grow upwards. The small plate coral I bought awhile back was a baby plate from an existing one, which is doing great and it appears to be growing another right next to it. The clam is doing well, the chalices have really fired up and have taken off. Latest test were salinity 1.026, alk 10dkh, calcium 420ppm, nitrates - 5ppm and po4 - below .03 so she's going smoothly. I love this chalice, I have no idea what it is but it looks amazing. Quote Link to comment

CrazyEyes
Decided to take some pictures today, just to show the growth of the acros, I'm really quite pleased so far, I've had sps in the past but have never been successful in getting them to encrust. Not sure what about this tank I'm doing differently, maybe it's my lack of attention and keeping my hands out of the tank and just letting it do it's thing. The closeup of the plate coral is where I tried to capture what I believe to be a baby plate coral, it's hard to see, and I don't think it's a pest like aptasia or mojano, but I'll be keeping my eye on it just incase. Thanks, I can’t really tell, and yr tentacle plate is still quite small . Here’s mine in comparison. They like feeding 2-3 times a wk ( mine seems to anyway), I heavy target feed mine reef roids and it catches. Brineshrimp etc when I feed my fish. Quote Link to comment

Abhijit
Any update on the Asta 20? Will it work okay on Zoas, chalice, scolys and a few other basic LPS? Quote Link to comment

I can confirm that some Zoa's (different morphs seem to need different lighting in IME) and Basic LPS such as Duncans, Torches, Hammers, Favia and Trumpets/Candy Canes. Quote Link to comment
