damaba
I'v started this thread for everyone to share the pressence of aquariums in your environment. I want to hear about how decisions were made concerning elements like placement, design, color and tank size. Besides focusing on the fantastic creatures inside the tank I'd like to see the context of your aquarium. Thanks for participating! One considerations for my aquarium was to depict a cube of water placed low enough to be viewed from multiple angles. Link to comment

GoingPostal
I'll have to grab pics during daylight but ours are in spots mainly for convenience. My living room has a built in bookcase, with a low spot on one side for a television, but most people have moved on from a 20" tube style. Great spot for a fish tank though. My other two nanos are under the stand of my 135 gallon freshwater tank, on either side of the sump. It's got space and extra built in plug ins which are super limited in my old house. Plus with the doors shut it looks like I only have half as many fish tanks. Under no circumstances should you go upstairs.... This is a blurry shot of what I'm talking about, but a few years prior so tanks are moved around and I've moved out of the back room. Link to comment

righttirefire
Enough of the beautiful homes... let go to ratty duplexes. The nuvo is on a similar stand in the corner to the left of the sliding glass door. At the end of the couch. And a little freshwater tank on my nightstand. Link to comment

vlangel
I chose our livingroom because when my aquarium is in a high traffic area it gets more attention. That space in our livingroom is kind of between the diningroom and livingroom so I would not use it for other purposes anyhow. I chose a bowfront just because I love them and they are friendly to aquascape. I chose the oak trim because our house has oak accents, or oak colored wood. You can see even our ceiling is oak planks. Link to comment
