aquakevem
Careful with that valve so it doesn't create a full siphon unless you have a backup drain If a snail gets stuck in the drain the sump will empty into the display and cause a flood which isn't desirable Ha! Don't jinx me fellow reefer My overflow box will be covered to prevent Wrasses, snails and urchins from clogging my single drain, along with good husbandry. That is a really clean return nozzle, I like it. Thanks bro, surely did not want 90º elbows on my return line. I need to figure out what to do with the extra plumbing pipe and fittings. I had a good time fitting two(2) 10' pipes in my car Link to comment
aquakevem
What is the airline tubing coming off of the return nozzle? It's the siphon break line to keep my display tank water from back siphoning to my sump, actually.. There is enough sump space to house the amount of saltwater back siphoning until it reaches the opening of my lock-line nozzle, though. It think it's unnecessary to allow about two inches(didn't do the math) of display tank water to siphon back to my sump. Link to comment

disaster999
Are you thinking of combining all the different foods and making your own "frozen" food for your tank? I though about getting the Eco Eggs, but not having that many corals and fish in my tank it would seem like a waste if I start using it now giving then 6-8 weeks shelf life after opening. Im thinking of using it once my tank is fully stocked Link to comment
aquakevem
disaster999,I have no plans in freezing the food shown in the image(Don't think I wanna mix freeze dried foods in the freezer?), though. Food like frozen PE Mysis will stay frozen with a combination of vitamins, organic seafood and algae. Live Aquaria -Divers Den facility feeds Doc's Eco Eggs. I bought mine from them, along with the brew/blended version during their sale, $12 eggs and $10 brew.Ha! A waste.. I remember the days when I never came close to emptying those 120g New Life Spectrum containers. Link to comment

aquakevem
Cyber Monday purchases through Aquarium Specialty Forgot to apply the coupon code at checkout- missed out on saving $6.xxI can't seem to stay away from purchasing Vertex Aquaristik goods even after the delays(frustration) of the 'In-line 1-10v module' for their ILLUMILUX LED fixtures, almost three years, though. I'll give them another chance.. Not that i could find a more interesting dosing container.Figured i'd use a hanging kit for my frag tank/refugium light, Vertex Aquaristik ILLUMILUX Marino Bianco. sangheili
24v 120mm fan is odddddd. Never seen a non-12v one. It may be loud - I would consider running it at 12v and seeing how it goes. Link to comment
RollaJase
24v fans are typically for industrial use. Push tons of air at high RPM with lots of noise, not to mention the higher price. I ended up using 12v 120mm PC fans and just splicing them onto a 12v wall wart. Had all the gear laying around so the entire project cost me $0 . Link to comment
