I used their stuff bCk in the day. I say just scrub the shit outta everything and suck all of it out and see what happens. Worst case it grows back or gets worse or it gets better. That is pretty much where I am getting to with the algae. It really isn't too bad yet, but I am trying to not let it get any worse. The last thing I need right now is a major outbreak of cyano or bryopsis. I'm thinking about hitting up top shelf on friday for a mille or stylo. Did you find someone willing to make deals there yet? Does mitch still work there? Do you happen to know if they are doing any sales this weekend? I haven't seen an email from them in a while. Link to comment

Some people will disagree,some people agree. Honestly,I gave up on Top Shelf. The last 2 times I went,I found absolutely nothing that was appealing to me and all the tanks were bare as hell. Everything was priced super high. Idk to be honest,when I was in there last,none of the regular crew was in there working. Living Reef has a few frags of a peach/orange looking mille in the $10 section. And a super nice red/green mille and a really super fuzzy all blue mille in the $30 section. I will say the Acro in the $20 section colors up AMAZINGLY at least in my tank (green base,blue tips and green/purple everywhere else). As you know,they peach/orange mille and the blue tipped Acro are both in my tank thread. If you ever want to,if you ever want Zoa's or anything let me know,I can always get rid of a couple of frags for dirt cheap for you. If you want,PM me and I can throw something together for you,if your interested. Link to comment

D Z Posted January 8, 2015 Author Share Posted January 8, 2015 Oh and just to log it, did more testing last night. I'm trying to get my Mag up. For some reason, my Alk jumped a little since the last time I tested, even though I haven't done a water change or dosed alk. I'm guessing that it is just the tank still trying to stabilize parameters. Parameters: Nitrate: 2 Phosphate: 0 Calcium: 420 - 430 Alk: 9.2 Mag: 1290 I dosed another 20 ml or so of mag, which should put me up close to 1330. I'll test again tonight and probably dose another 10-15ml to get to around 1350 where I want it. Oh I also decided to try the RW-4 on else mode. I had been running it on W2 at 30%, but else seemed to be pretty popular. Everything seemed to respond well last night so we will see how that continues. On a sad note, the pearlberry is pretty much toast. Link to comment

I ended up getting to both top shelf and living reef. Top shelf actually wasnt bad. They had a decent amount of new coral, probably for the sale that starts today that i just got an email for. I didnt have too much time as we had to get to my sons school to pick him up but i picked up some new Dr. G's food suplement with my gift cert(thanks fishstiks). Then on to living reef aftet picking up my son. I ended up getting a great deal from poncho and luke. I ended up wih what i think is a broght blue tenius and golden colored mini colony that im not quite sure on. They said that the blue piece was a stag and the golden one a tenuis but im not really sure. Then i had my wife pick out a couple paly frags. We ended up with a 3 headed frag of hornets and a 2 headed frag of a nonamed piece im gonna call milky ways. Pics later! Link to comment

My wife actually pointed it out, then the more and more I looked at it the more I liked it. Glad I got it cause it looks even better in my tank under the t5s. And the zoas are awesome. I was waiting for them to frag the colony in their display tank. Also,with thode "milkyways" they'll morph nicely under t5's. Mine did,as well as about 4-5 other Zoa's lol. Man that golden tenuis and milky ways are sick. Nice grab. Had a friend out to living reef yesterday and they didn't have anymore rainbow infusions. Dang. They only had I think 3-4 frags from the beginning and they went quick. As well as the CAR's. Link to comment
