It is rated for tanks up to 20 gallons But its the only one that will fit my tank... It doesn't really matter what the heater watt is right?? As long as the tank is in a room that is temperature controlled and doesn't get super cold. Stick it in an area that will get a nice continuous flow to to maximize the heat output evenly throughout the tank. My 2 cents . Link to comment

It's not on constantly! 100 wattBut maybe I could put the cobalt diagonal sideways... If that makes sense? I think it will work! I can do 100w too!They say it needs to be straight up, but mine is slightly angled, because it's not able to stand up and be fully submerged in 8" of water Link to comment

I'm pretty excited because it worked out smoothly even though the original aquascape I had decided on was just not going to work with the rocks I received! But I got GREAT ROCKS! I love the open space in the center for scolys and nice frags! What do you guys think? Link to comment

Can't wait till you get it up and running I went from the cobalt heater to the titanium heater and love it .
