RAdkins
Zoa heaven! I like the diversity that you have picked out. How's the new light doing? What type of magnet did you use on your stand? I am thinking I want to go that route for my stand as well but with a glossy black finish. Link to comment
BoCoMo
Thanks! Magnet was from Lowes or Home Depot. I will look for the package but they were a strong magnet and have plenty of hold power. The light is doing great! I think glossy black on the stand will look great! Link to comment
BoCoMo
Not much to update; everything is growing out great. I did stop by the NOLA aquarium this weekend... It's worth a visit. Link to comment
phatstanley02
Damn, you passed withing 30 seconds of my place to get there. Aquarium of the Americas is nice, but it has nothing on the Georgia Aquarium Link to comment

Aquarium of the Americas is nice, but it has nothing on the Georgia Aquarium Wish I would have known; would have stopped by (if invited) for sure. I have heard that the GA Aquarium is amazing. TBH though I go down there for the jambalaya and then find stuff to do between meals Link to comment
phatstanley02
I hear ya, though it can be hard to find good food in NO with all the tourist traps. If you ever make it out to Baton Rouge, there is a really nice LFS as well as one in Raceland which is about 30 minutes south of Metairie. Also a few decent shops out by the airport. Link to comment
got2envy
Cool pix BoCo! Z&P collecting is never ending, at some point you just have to look away Link to comment

phatstanley02
Aligator gar I think Indeed, you can catch them all day in bayou's around here but good luck getting the hook out. If they are big its common for fisherman to shoot them before they pull them in the boat. Link to comment
BoCoMo
It was a Razor that over heated? Thats scary... Yeah - not sure what caused it but F&S took excellent care of me and I have had no more problems. I saw they just came out with a nano razor too Link to comment

BoCoMo
On one of their presets it sits full blast for a while. The way I have it set up now it doesn't ever go full blast but they should be able to handle it Link to comment
phatstanley02
Is your ambient temp high in your house? I keep my place at 69-70 and I have never yet see the fans kick on on my razor. Link to comment
BoCoMo
No. If anything when it went it was low. I am looking into a chiller for this summer though Still looking at plans for a cabinet for the electronics that contain fire hazard and may even have a self contained fire detection/extinguish feature Link to comment
heifinator
By the way I saw you acid bathed your pukanni. One of my older tanks I just dumped the stuff in and let it cycle with dry rock. about 30-45 days of massive hair algae city, then it went away never to return. My understanding is all your doing is stripping it of dead organics that will add nutrients, if you don't mind the bloom its not needed? Something I am missing or is my assumption correct? BoCoMo
You're correct as far as I know. Even with the soaking and bathing I still had leaching and fought cyano. Link to comment
