markalot
I really like those pally's. So remind me, all you do is change the water in this, right, no special gravel vac or anything like that? Link to comment
chrssprngs
I do a 4 gallon water change every month or so. Turkey baste the rocks sometimes. Link to comment
chrssprngs
Sorry for the delay. Went camping. Zoanthids are making a comeback from the nudi war of 2012 with flash 1 Link to comment
markalot
How do you avoid just sitting and staring at the tank for hours? Looks fantastic, as usual. Link to comment
Spirofucci
Nice pics bro. Everything looks happy and healthy. Love those dendros.........gotta get me some. Link to comment
chrssprngs
Thanks guys. Had an aptasia killing event yesterday. The whole left side of the tank was struggling due to the sebae nem that was getting too big. There was a whole colony of about 100 Zs that were just little bumps under where the nem was.. I thought that were toast, but they are all coming back. Funny how tough they are but then they can just melt for no particular reason. This is them Link to comment
markalot
That last one is Blasto Welsii, right? My little frag is alive, and doing mostly nothing. Not sure if it's just because the tank is only 3 months old, too much flow, or too much light. Link to comment
chrssprngs
Yes Mark. You can see its location relative to the light in a couple posts earlier. I believe you know it's under T5s. Not in direct flow. Link to comment
markalot
Yes, Current T5 and ATI lamps. I have mine out of the flow on the very bottom but it still acts like there is too much light. I can't judge the light output of these LED strips I have but I assumed my glass top would attenuate the brightness. Another couple of weeks and if nothing improves I might go back to T5's on the front of the tank. Link to comment
chrssprngs
You might try moving it to one of the ends of the tank. A little less light there. Link to comment
chrssprngs
FTS 2/4/2013 Left Right You can see the Scoly that have crammed in the back. The clam and HH green rimmed purple shrooms. Did y'all know I have GSP? I keep them on this old power head hanging on the side. Keeps them from spreading. Link to comment
M&C
I'm pretty sure you feed that chalice whole chickens. It's huge! 1 Link to comment
Spirofucci
Wow! You got some beautiful mature pieces in there!!! Link to comment
chrssprngs
Thanks Mark. Real estate is at a premium these days. The chalice is growing over the monti and expanding left to right at a pretty rapid pace. Kathryn's like " can't you do something?". No. Life on the reef is dog eat dog. 1 Link to comment
metrokat
Dog eat dog, so appropriate for me too. My hell boy favia is going to annihilate everything pretty soon. Link to comment

chrssprngs
Flatworms are slowly coming back. Really don't want to treat the tank again. Lost my chalk bass the last time. I miss that fish. Link to comment
