cbort Posted March 1, 2013 Author Share Posted March 1, 2013 Thanks guys! Been really busy with work and selling of our House, and getting ready to move and finding a new house. Kinda put the tank on the back burner lately. I will actually be starting fresh here within the next couple months at our new home. I will be updating tomorrow with more new equipment though. Getting some new toys! Some future mods are going to be: 1.) adding a nice sized refugium under the stand for a deep sand bed and macro algae. 2.) Gonna grab a probe holder for the probes from my new toys. 3.) finally looking at adding another LiterMeterIII for automatic water changes. Link to comment
cbort Posted March 19, 2013 Author Share Posted March 19, 2013 Wow, a Skimmer and dosing really do not mix! My Vertex Royal Exlusiv 170 started doing the chugging noise. The pump chugs and the water level in the skimmer bounces, so I decided it was time to do a good vinegar bath on it. The skimmer body, pump internals and plumbing were coated in calcium.
