JoelRHale Posted February 25, 2012 Share Posted February 25, 2012 The scape is evenly laid out and looks nice, but I don't think you're taking advantage of your tank's height. Maybe try to build it up with base rock underneath. Still jealous of your LPS, your acans are some of the nicest I've seen on here. I've been trying to get some but it's not that easy to find stuff locally and finding decent priced ones are difficult. Link to comment

Acielot Posted March 1, 2012 Share Posted March 1, 2012 I agree with Mr. Hale your tank is pretty amazing but try and take advantage of your tank and raise one of your live rocks with a base rock it would really make a difference. That is where I am struggling to make my SW tank look better but so far i only have crabs, barnacles, anemones and small macros so it isn't that big of a deal. Link to comment

March 4th Test Results PO4---0 NO3---<3 KH---9 CA---100 My calcium is crazy low, I think it's b/c all the growth not to mention clam and ten pieces of SPS However i remain suspicious and will keep an eye on my calcium levels (they are normally a little too high ) *Just returned Biggy Smallz to their week long honeymoon/time out at Greenwich Aquaria to let the new guys settle in (Biggy has been a huge bully) Im hoping the Cards and Wrasse will become more confident and healthier before Biggy's back Link to comment

Spencer7 Posted March 11, 2012 Author Share Posted March 11, 2012 A random card just died, he swam like a retard and drifted for hours, no worries the only reason i have fish at all is just to fill some space and bring movement into the tank... As long as my coral is happy, I am too! Will edit in some pics to this post, just cleaned algae off the glass and it needs to settle down I am disappointed with the cards as they hide a lot (even with a bunch in there with just the sixline) Should have got Chromis PICTURES!!! New Guy The colony lives on! Fastest Grower Dont forget Mr. Anemone! (pic was a ##### to get ) I love this new frag b/c it's electric blue Others were hiding... I LOVE THIS PIC Link to comment

Its weekly maintenance day~ March 17th Test Results PO4---0 NO3---4 KH---6.5 CA---450 Overall not too bad After much deliberation i have decided to let Biggy Smallz stay at Greenwich Aquaria, the tank has been in a state of peace and serenity w/out them... I also got them b/c I thought they would lay eggs, which they never did... This way i can hopefully have a nice school and some more room for fish, which brings me to my bigger news, I got a Yellow Mimic Tang! My tank can handle the waste (about 45 gals total+100 gal rated skimmer+15w UV) and i think that with my minimalist scape, he should have room to swim (cutting it close) Plz don't hate, if there is any signs of a unhealthy tang I will immediately remove him... My next few purchases (over a few months) will be a Kessil, a ATO, and a very large Acan colony Maybe another SPS frag or two, possibly a frozen eating mandarin Link to comment
