Jacobnano
You'll like this: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-11/rs/index.php Nice. I do like that. I didn't read the whole article yet, just skimmed. Rockfish are some of my favorite fish up there. People used to catch them like crazy, but now their populations are way down. They can live for 100+ years! Link to comment
animalmaster6
Rockfish are raelly really cool. A lot of them are at the NE Aquarium. Tons and Tons of them. Link to comment
AquaticEngineer
I'm trying to find some good places to catch some rockfish for my 110. Something like this guy would be nice, although he'll get to about 20 inches or so eventually. Link to comment
Markushka
Like the new nems and stuff, really cool man. I'm looking at schools up thataway, osu and wsu. if I got up there i'd definitly start up a CW tank myself. I'm also trying to talk my friend in to setting up a local cold-water tank, he's like 45 min from the ocean so it's much easier for him to collect stuff. then I could just mooch stuff off him . he wants me to set up a terrarium in turn. maybe i'll go over to the dry side. maybe.... Aren't those the ones that live in very deepwater, they're red because red light doesn't penetrate that far into the water, so it makes them look gray? Link to comment
Wendy
This is such an awesome tank! You're doing such a great job & thanx for finally posting more pics! Link to comment

I have caught one of those before. Honestly please don't get one for your tank. They would be tough because they would eat any shrimp or smaller fish. Their populations are dwindling as it is. Thanks! They are Ah very cool. I was just talking to the head Eel Grass Specialist (probably not his name, something that makes more sense haha) at the labs at friday harbor. He has been working with my family, the labs there are part of WSU. Well just check the collecting laws Aren't those the ones that live in very deepwater, they're red because red light doesn't penetrate that far into the water, so it makes them look gray? I believe so. This is such an awesome tank! You're doing such a great job & thanx for finally posting more pics! Thanks Link to comment

Markushka
Haha yea thats what I meant. looked into NJ collecting laws, and you only need permits to collect shellfish or other commercial marine life. you don't even need a fishing license for ocean fishing, figures. Link to comment
Jacobnano
Haha wow I guess that is NJ for you Link to comment
