opy01
Have you drilled glass before? If not and you are doing this yourself just go very slow and easy. I cracked my first tank I drilled but the second one turned out fine. Link to comment

I cracked my first tank I drilled but the second one turned out fine. No, I have not drilled glass before. But, Im gonna practice on a peice or two first. Local hardware has panes the same thickness for $2.99 a pop. The last time i talked to the guy . He told me to let the bit to ALL the werk... No pressure, just slow and steady. Did you drill fast, FAST, or slow? Link to comment
blizzardscout2
Hey! Cool new tank, I like your ideas for it. I love aquariums with softies down around the bottom. Link to comment
pismo_reefer
Thanks Blizzle.... This one is planned out to a "T".... Livestock, hardware, software, etc. .... But, I want you all to understand that perfection takes time. This won't be built overnight. Link to comment
opy01
No pressure, just slow and steady. Did you drill fast, FAST, or slow? I used my drill press since it was only a 5.5g tank. The first hole was easy, I just barely put pressure and it went fine. The second hole is the one that cracked because my wife got home and I tried to hurry. Big mistake lol. On the second tank I just went slow and steady. The reason I used the drill press is so I didnt have to worry about starting at an angle and worrying about screwing up too bad. Link to comment

pismo_reefer
I guess this is werth mentioning.... Yesterday, my old Actinic bulb started to flicker, then sizzle, then glow RED. I flipped the lights off and took out the bulb, both ends were charred. A new Actinic was put in its place and, one day later, my cyano is GONE. I mean GONE! * Change yer bulbs kids. Link to comment

gabe3eb
I can't believe I have neglected this post for 3 WHOLE PAGES. You know its my favorite tank! Monti Island is looking really hot. Any room for a Digitata to round out the monti species? Most are kinda meh, but I saw a really cool strawberry and pink one that was hot once. Definitely Pismo worthy. Looking forward to watching the 20G progress and yous better let me know what you got for frags available once you are ready Link to comment
