Is this what you're doing in class instead of paying attention? as a former teacher I am shocked and appalled... not really. looks like a nice start, though ADA purists might frown upon modifying the clean lines (not that I am one)

I do some of my best thinking in school (lulz) :P:

whoops! read aga as ada. my bad. ignore that, then.

ADA purist? ( Im a super n00b) LOLZ

thanks for the complement!

some new additions

Emerald crab

2 peppermint shrimp

I know some of you are thinking "WHAT LIVESTOCK ALREADY!!!"

The rock in the tank has been curing for 3 months and was "in transit" for a few hours

so there is little to no die off

the false wall is off about two milimeters... so the water level is a little bit off

I dont think it should be too much of a problem...

right?

Dude, your false wall does not make the water level change. Your tank is unlevel. Water level is water level. It means you can fix it by leveling your stand/dresser or whatever that thing is your tank is sitting on. Get a level and sit it on the top of the dresser/stand thing. Then shim it. Or put an old sock under the short leg. Whatever.

Yo, shim the desk, not the tank! I would remove that shim as soon as possible, you are putting a torque on the tank bottom and you could blow the whole thing out.

Shim the bottom of the desk, and make sure the whole tank contacts the desk

You and I are at the same level right now. I have the diatoms as well. Waiting another week for CUC though to make sure I have no weird spikes. Your tank is going to look real good :)

more then 24hrs later and you still didnt re-shim ur tank lol

nice tank.

haha I know

it proved to be more difficult than I thought

the tank is on my dresser (really heavy), so im going to need my brother to help me shim it, but he hasn't been able to yet..

Is it better for the water level to be off or have the millimeter shim?

thanks dude

Moved the tank yesterday

Had my dad helped me shim it and in the process we spilled saltwater on the dresser

(which happens to be a family heirloom)

pics later today

also the tank has cleared up a bit and I added a Hermit

not sure what type though...

Id later when we get pics

try to add a few hermits, they are good at eating scraps n crap. and try to get a variety of snails, i added my CUC seriously 3-5 days after i setup the tank. i never hit a diatom bloom tho which was weird, all my LR was beyond cured and my tank is super stable at about 3-4 months now. good progress buddy

check out my 10gal build in my sig if u get a chance
