andykee Posted May 2, 2006 Share Posted May 2, 2006 not enough light. crocea and maxima clams require metal halide lights. derasa, squamosa, and hippo clams will be ok under strong PC lighting. if you upgraded your stock lights to something with more power, you could think about getting a lower light clam, but croceas and maximas need MH.
