bedavids
Does anyone know how much light is needed for a hippopous clam. I have kept crocea's, maxima's, and derasa's(derasa being the less light needy). I saw one of these clams at the LFS and the owner didn't know much about it. I want it because it is so small. Also how about the 2 1/2 inch maxima's, how hard are they in a nano. I have a 75 gallon reef that is about three years old and I am venturing out into nano aquaria. Link to comment
Caesar777
Similar to a Derasa as far as lighting needs. Keep it within a foot of fluo lighting, or anywhere if you have MH. Remember, though: clams under 3" need to be fed good-quality phyto--like DT"s--at least every couple days. Link to comment
