Starting my 2nd tank. Got a used Biocube 29. Setting it up in my office. It comes with stock lights and one Blue LED strip.

Not planning for any upgrade as of now. Have not decided on the livestock either. Will take it slow. WIll let the tank cycle for 2 weeks now. Planning to add some water from current tank to start seeding.

Livestock:

09/19/2022: Neon Dottyback

10/02/2022: Clarkii Clownfish

11/4/22: Coral Beauty from old tank

09/20/2022: Jason Fox Insane Rainbow Zoa

09/20/2022: Superman Mushroom (from other tank)

09/20/2022: Candy Cane (from other tank)

10/28/2022: Hammer Coral single head

11/13/22: Forest Fire mushroom

12/16/22: Frogspawn

Lighting:

Bought the new LED hood.

I was thinking on the following aquascape:

But, I had overestimated the space within the tank. I had to take off one of the arch.

Congrats on the new tank! I had a tank like ths years back. Mine had those lights its best to change them every 6 months even with softies and lps. Watch the temp in the summer mine sometimes ran hot. Raising up the hood with a block of wood helped. Also if the fans in the hood get noisy they are easy to replace with pc fans. I used a hole saw on the vents to open them up more directly over the fans that also helped with heat. Then again I live in the southern us. Very long very hot very humid summers.

I was thinking of either replacing the hood with the new LED hood or use one of the black LED bars that I have if the current lights go off.

I am just very excited to get my first AIO 🙂

Their aggressiveness cancels out pretty much?

Update: I have not seen them fight or even take a bite at each other even once so far.

I did try to introduce a molly and the Dottyback went at it right away. So, I am fairly confident that these roomies will learn to live together. I have re-homed the molly.

Will post if anything changes.

My new acquisition: Hammer coral.... I need to learn how to take better reef photos. I tried using Pro mode on Samsung S21 as well as cheap orange lens... Not happy with the results.

I wanted another tankmate for this tank. But was hesitant because of Neon DT. reefers cautioned me against any new fish before removing the DT. Since I had a coral beauty in my other tank, I went ahead with the experiment. If DT went after CB, I can just put it back to its old tank. Well, its been over a week now since I have mote CB. there is no aggression among them.
