SilberReef
Hi Everyone, My name is Jared. Im a professional sports photographer who has been quietly enjoying my reef tank and taking pics along the way. I didn't plan on ever making a thread about my tank but decided could be fun so here it goes! I hope you enjoy following along and seeing all the photos. I look forward to interacting with everyone and learning things about this hobby to help my journey be successful! NoOneLikesADryTang
Following! Hopefully I’ll pick up some photo tips from you to use on my build threads. What do you typically shoot your tank with? Also, that zoa looks a lot like Green Bay Packers zoa to me. 1 Quote Link to comment

Also I use a Canon 1dx body with a Canon 100mm f/2.8L macro lens and an orange filter 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Pjanssen
Beautiful corals and pictures of them. Thanks for sharing your shot specs. Question from a total novice photographer, How are your pictures so sharp with such a high ISO? Everything I've read says to shoot at lowest iso as possible. Quote Link to comment

And Yes normally the lower the iso the better! Because my bedroom where the tank is has terrible available light I bump the iso way up. Since the photos are for tracking growth and posting online or viewing on my phone (not printing) the high iso is not a problem to me. Photography is my full time job so I have many of the top camera bodies where high iso isn't much of a problem till higher ranges than this. Many cameras will struggle past 3200 iso though, especially in low light conditions. 2 Quote Link to comment
