Long time no update. Any macro algae I add dies, so I've just been enjoying it as is. The red bubble algae dissolved completely then slowly popped up on almost every surface, and the codium has grown maybe 1-2cm

Never actually put one in! I couldn't find a halfway decent looking overflow cover and i'm scared of him getting into the sump

This cutting of grubes seems to love the dirty water, I don't think I ever did a water change since setting it up last year..

Mangroves still kickin! Added 2 more a few weeks ago and they've already popped the next set of leaves

Little update since the tank is technically still running, it's freshwater now obviously.

 

Having a sump on this monstrosity is actually quite nice since it acts as a giant ato resevoir. Just fill the sump up and it'll last about 2 weeks. Other than that I do absolutely nothing to it other than occasionally throw in ferts/npk
