Sorry I didn't see this Cockatoo!  Thank you!  What did you upgrade to?

Hello all!

Just a quick update, this tank doesn't really change much.  I've had to increase the daily dosing of Tropic Marine All for Reef due to Growth, I also had an issue with my Fuge bulb, but other than that it's been fairly hands off.

Here are some updated pics:

Just a quick update on this tank.  It's been on autopilot for a while now since all of my energy has been going into the build of the 135G,.. Not that it's been neglected, just that it's a fairly low maintenance tank.

I do about 40% water change monthly and syphon the sand, and I have All For Reef on a dosing pump with about 0.7 ml 2x per day and everything stays pretty stable.

Just a little update on this tank that is long overdue.  I've been fighting back some Hair algae that took hold while I've been spending my time working on setting up the sump room for the 135G.  I didn't worry about water changes and such because I'm only feeding every few days since I don't have fish, but apparently I still needed the regular water changes.

I'm winning the battle now, but there is still a little left:

I have some news, and some pictures!

First the news, this tank probably won't be around much longer.  I just really, really hate the AIO setup, there's no room back there.  The only Skimmer that fits does a very poor job, I don't have room for any mechanical filter media which means the waste builds up in the tank, but worse than that the 'Live Rock' I used is garbage.  It's really more like "Rock inspired", when chipped apart it's clear that it's mostly something else that is not porous like live rock.  I think that's been the cause of this tank's difficulty finding it's groove for so long.  Add that to the fact that this setup was adapted to fit in a location it was never meant to and I'm left with a tank full of comprimises.

I happened across a broken 25G waterbox and that is probably my next adventure for the bedroom tank.

That being said, the tank is still doing well.  Here it is:

It's looking really good!  Why not keep it running?

Thank you!  I just hate doing any work on this tank.  There is no mechanical filtration so the sand gets clogged up with junk very quickly, the Fuge LED keeps failing every few months and there aren't good replacement options, the wires are so tucked in there that it's impossible to do any maintenance.  I just really want to switch over to something with a little sump that is much easier to work on.

Sounds like you reached the limit on this tank. Looking forward to seeing the upgrade!

Me too!  It's been cycling for a few months now, but I'm finishing one last decretive aspect before I'm ready to move forward with it.  I'm doing an epoxy ocean bartop for around the new tank.  I'll attach a picture of where it is now.  The stand is designed to match the cabinetry in my house, and it's an exact match.  Makes it look like part of the house.

So, I decided to move tanks before the bartop was complete just because I was running out of space.  Here are the final pics of the 10G Cuby before it came down:

You can continue following the life of these corals over on the 25G Waterbox Build.
