AForys
Current claims 150 par at 18in directly under led, my question is would this be enough for a lower light required clam? If so, what clam would you suggest? Possibly put the clam on lr in mid tank? Link to comment

I have a few maximas and a derasa under a reef breeders value fixture at 50%, what do you keep now? Link to comment

More research then, hehe. more research the better, but then there comes a time when you just need to get one, best advice, get one from a good source, if you are near new england, cultivated reef are great. other than that id say get one from pacific east aquaculture. PEA: http://www.pacificeastaquaculture.com/Clams-for-Sale-Maxima-Crocea-Squamosa-Deresa-Prodlist.html CR: http://cultivatedreef.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=16&product_id=872 when you do some reading, cross check everything. go with the majority rule, if some random back water site run by some guy in a trench coat and bowler hat, says clams need space to swim; dont believe it. this site is a great place to start and is backed by a lot of success, and learned from a lot of failure. i keep hoping the clam god ZephNYC will show up, he is the best on this section; but until he decides dive into the deep end again, youll be stuck with us Link to comment
HarryPotter
What type of clam are you considering? Some need more light than others. How many 3w LEDs does that fixture use? Link to comment
AForys
None, im going to get a kessil160. But im going to hold off, my tank isn't doing so well at the moment.
