Hey Pismo, did you have any issues with setting this up initially? I don't think I have that much smaller of a return chamber but it's filling too quickly. I'm using an AquaLifter pump as well, did you have to restrict the flow?

Edit: Never mind...just tied a knot in the tubing to restrict the flow.

Mines at the max height for the AquaLifter. So, it takes about 7 minutes.

Have you noticed any instances where the alarm goes off at night due to an overfill? When I set it up last night (after I tied a knot in the line to restrict the flow) it filled fine a couple times without issue but when it filled at about 12:30am it overfilled and the alarm went off. Maybe it didn't sense the difference in temp?

Thanks for the heads up.

Its also funny you should mention that, as I was just realizing it last water change.

The tips ALWAYS get a little bleached, when I do changes.

I'd say the coral is exposed no longer than 3 minutes, ever.

Yeah, first time I saw that happen to mine I thought it was STN'ing, though it quickly recovered. Now, I just splash it occasionally and no problems.

Jealous of your new ATO BTW. Been wanting that one.

I have not had any overfills or overfill alarms.

I did notice that the sensor wants to be on the "minimum" prong when turned on.

I think thats how it calibrates itself.

But, thats just what I noticed.

Snails are gone.

They were just making nitrate.

Useless.... Gone. :D

Picked up a 2" frag of "Jedi Mind Trick Undata".... FOR $5!!!! omgomgomg

Its a little bleached, but is WELL worth the undertaking of healing it up.

Especially considering the phenominal growth in this tank.

I need to do a water change, and place the frag.

Pics later.

That rack is 2.75" wide.

For size comparison, that Setosa frag is 1.5".

The rack gets 120 PAR, and has a gyre type current.

I'll move the Undata when I'm confident its not bleaching.

Also, that Grape Monti just looks bleached in this photo.

Yep...

The kid at the lfs wanted to play "know-it-all".

So.... I let him continue to stroke his own ego,

While I sidestepped the fact that this frag was PROBABLY in the wrong section.

But, hey... Its mine now.

When it begins to color up, im gonna frag two pieces off and grow em out.

Then, resell em for $20 each.

That'll cover what my light cost me, initially. :D
