gahumphrey
Nov update: Everything is on making pretty much a full recovery. For the first time in months I've added some new corals. Three new Acan frags, a white carpet anemone and a purple Acro. Mushrooms are spawning like crazy. Had three last month the size of a pea. Have 11 now. The three original ones are about the size of a silver dollar. here are some updated pics: FTS: Purple Stylo, Baby Green Birdsnest, couple Acan Frags and some Green Buttons. Top down view of larger birdsnest (I believe this is an ORA Birds of Paradise Seriatopora) Baby Chalice (piece that broke off the mother colony that i jammed in a rock) with some unidentified tiny little guy. Two Monti Caps - one scrolling (orange) one plating (red) Froggies Symphyllia (this guy arrived in a bag with no water that leaked during shipment. he was totally bleached just 5 months ago) Acan frag Acan colony Acan Colony Acan Frag Acan Frag Acan Frag Acans recovering from fight with Frogspawn earlier this year Lobophyllia White Carpet (eating Coral Frenzy) Last two Acan colonies 2 Quote Link to comment
best3175
Nice progress. Love the Acans. I'm going to have to look at adding some if those. Are you chancing a specific water chemistry or just focusing on stability? 1 Quote Link to comment

gahumphrey
Nice progress. Love the Acans. I'm going to have to look at adding some if those. Are you chancing a specific water chemistry or just focusing on stability? Thanks! Really just focusing on stability. My phosphates always run a little high which makes me nuts. I just started using Brightwell Aquatics Xport PO4. Hopefully that will do better than the GFO I was using. I also had a slight Amonia problem. Hopefully that was just from my mandarins kicking the bucket. Last week I started feeding Coral Frenzy and adding live phytoplankton. I also just starting adding Seachem Zooplankton. It has really stared to fatten up the Acans and the lobophyllia. The tank has been going for 11 months. I swear it takes at least 8 months to become stable. The pictures were taken on my LG G3 phone. No special settings. I think the laser auto focus makes a big difference. Quote Link to comment

gahumphrey
Long overdue update... After loosing coral after coral, especially soft coral, I found out that the Blue Velvet Damsel was eating all my coral. He ate Zoanthids, Palys, SPS (Birdsnest, Acropora, etc), Acans, Montipora, etc. I quarantined him and now everything is making a major comeback. I also went back to biopellets. Started with 20% of the recommended amount and just kept adding slowly over 3 months. All is good in the land of the SR-80. 1 Quote Link to comment
BC_Reef_M
Looking good! That first picture is amazing with the reflection and I'm a fan of those froggies. Night viewing light for most of the pictures? 1 Quote Link to comment

Night viewing light for most of the pictures? Thanks! Yeah, I only peak the white LEDs for about two hours during the day. From about 11:30 to 1:30. Here are a couple of pictures of the program I run for the Radions. The first is the general settings, the other shows by color: Quote Link to comment
gahumphrey
time for another update...Put a TDS meter on my RO/DI system. Wowzaa, 278! Bad membrane, ineffective DI. Just replaced the RO/DI system with a Marine Depot 6 Stage Kleanwater Advanced system. Finally, Zero TDS!! Corals are MUCH happier. Also added several new corals from the Reefstock show. Here are some updated pics... 2 Quote Link to comment
