FishFrog
Our shroomie was struggling a lot with the current in our tank so we decided to downgrade the return pump from a 1000L (265G) p/h to a 200-400 (now around 300L, 80G) p/h. Total amount of flow is now 1200L / 320G. Which is around 24 times the total volume. The mushroom seems a lot happier now, but there still seems to be enough flow for the toadstool to enjoy and the clowns to surf in. And now we only have to turn of the flow pump when we feed instead of the flow and return. We are thinking of adding a brain coral (favites sp) and 2 peppermint shrimps next. We got a nice little corner for the brain where it can't sting the other corals, but we're still debating and researching it. The pepp's are nice little shrimps who could also help out with the one or two aiptasia's we might have missed. ~Robbert Link to comment
Steelen
Hows the tank doing? Hope the mushroom recovered well from the flow change. Link to comment

FishFrog
Soooo... we stopped by the amazing DreamCorals yesterday to pick up a gorgeous Yuma. In the end we left with a bit more. After drooling over the truly beautiful selection, we are now really happy with our own new additions. Our photo's aren't great yet. Still using a smartphone. In reality the colours are much brighter. Duncan. We really love this one, the movement is great! Fry doing a peekaboo! Close-up Yuma (our pictures don't do it justice, irl a much more deep purple, neon green mouth) Some more pictures Yuma GSP! The whole tank as of today. Just waiting for that putty to become covered in the coralline algae which has taking a liking to the glass... Link to comment
Steelen
Love the selection. Make sure the GSP covers a good area it grows like crazy. The Duncan and Yuma are beautiful! Link to comment
FishFrog
Love the selection. Make sure the GSP covers a good area it grows like crazy. The Duncan and Yuma are beautiful! Thanks! We are watching the GSP until it grows to the edge of the little bit of rock it is on. Then I want to move it to the back wall, so it can grow onto that ~ Hester Link to comment
FishFrog
We got ourselves a peppermint shrimp! Was about time we got a shrimp in there and we thought: if there are some leftover aiptasia he might even eat them. They also look nice, so it's a win win shrimp situation. LFS had only one, next week they probably get a new batch and we will get a second one, since we read that in pairs they are less shy and more active. Will post pictures later. ~Robbert Link to comment
FishFrog
Introducing, Dr. Zoidberg! Still a bit shy, so it's hard to get a good shot of him. Also another picture of our yuma on it's new spot and the duncans. Link to comment
Steelen
I like it! Love the yellow. Link to comment
FishFrog
Someone remind me to not look at worm id websites anymore. ~ Hester Link to comment
FishFrog
We got Dr. Zoidberg a companion: Marianne the Flowergirl. She is way smaller then he is, so they make a funny couple together. Zoidberg also molted yesterday. All of the sudden it seemed like we had three shrimp, on of which was see-through . Link to comment
FishFrog
Pictures! Pictures! We will get some pictures up soon. Right now I am at war with the shrimp, they have started eating our coral. We now have the super fun task of trying to catch them and they are sneaky little buggers. ~ Hester Link to comment
FishFrog
Well we managed to catch the smaller shrimp. Zoidberg is still evading capture. But not for long... not for long indeed. We are taking them back to the LFS, hopefully we will be able to exchange them for credit or something else. Half of the pretty yuma is gone I guess we knew it wasn't a sure thing that they would eat the aiptasia in the first place. Also, it is really hard to tell if they are truly wurdemannis. And even then, from what I have read here there is still a fair chance they prefer coral. Oh well, we have learned a lesson. ~ Hester Link to comment
FishFrog
So we managed to catch the coral eating culprit and took it back to the LFS. We didn't get any credit or such, which is a bummer. Zoidberg is still in the tank as he was just too quick for us. So far he hasn't eaten any coral so we are just going to watch him closely. I just glued a bit of GSP to the back wall. Of course the snails decided that that was an invite to slime all over it. Lets just hope it stays put/doesn't die. Oh yeah, I got a ton of coral 'gift cards' for my birthday last week, so there will be some new additions coming soon! We are looking at a brain and at some rock flowers... Pictures coming soon. ~ Hester Link to comment
FishFrog
Some fun pictures Stuck a bit of GSP to the back wall. Hope it grows Our little porcelain crab Mr. Crabs. If you look carefully you can see him with his fans up. Turned brown with orange dots after his last molt. Aaaand some funny shots of two of the most amusing inhabitants.. Henk has grown quite quickly, we need more shells.. ~ Hester Link to comment
FishFrog
A clip of our porcelain (?) crab filtering! Takes a little while before I get a good shot of him with my horrible phone camera, but awesome to see him action like this! Movie Link to comment
FishFrog
We instantly feel smarter! Spot the Zoidberg! Let's hope we don't attract any zombies now ;-). ~Robbert Link to comment

FishFrog
For some reason our conch (we ordered two nassarius' but after some careful examination we are quite sure they send us conches) just died. He was lying on it's back the day before yesterday, but yesterday it moved a little so we thought it was just sleeping in a awkward position. Then he stopped moving again and now both our hermits and the peppermint are enjoying themselves some nassariusconch. I guess a CUC gotta do what a CUC gotta do. Even if that means cleaning up your cleaner bro. At least he had a good life. On to the eternal algae pastures for him. ;-)~Robbert Link to comment

Steelen
I cannot wait to start buying like crazy when I move and get settled in! I have all sorts of ideas. Plus I am getting a 65gallon (246ltr) tank from a family friend as a wedding gift! Talk about a money sink haha... You could look at monti's. If you get the right one, it can grow down a stack of rocks creating a wall. My friend has one, its been growing for 5 years now. Here is small bit of how it grew And I think they are affordable in the Netherlands. Link to comment

Something else. I found the small blue shroom half eaten this morning, on the side of the nasty worm burrow. I don't think the hermits or the shrimp will have done it, as they are fed quite well and its in an awkward corner, right in front of where the worm lives. In the picture you can see the rubble it has dragged to its burrow. I'm going to look into a trap. I know of at least two worms which are getting pretty massive and freaky. Saw one pop out and grab a small snail the other day. ~ Hester Link to comment
