CrazyEyes
Finally getting this thing back together. http://s27.photobucket.com/user/DrftNme/media/DSC_0248_zps8f45f717.jpg.html'> http://s27.photobucket.com/user/DrftNme/media/DSC_0247_zpsbe797e20.jpg.html'> Link to comment
CrazyEyes
Definitely need to rearrange the wires and fix the return pump(just need to get some new hose). Now I need to hook up the ato and dial in the skimmer but, it's finally, finally running again. http://s27.photobucket.com/user/DrftNme/media/DSC_0256_zps685c45dc.jpg.html'> http://s27.photobucket.com/user/DrftNme/media/DSC_0254_zps7ce404a7.jpg.html'> http://s27.photobucket.com/user/DrftNme/media/DSC_0252_zpsb4585f79.jpg.html'> Link to comment
CrazyEyes
Worst part of tanks is making the wiring not look like a big bag of, as Ben would say, dicks lol. Got all wires tucked as good as possible. Just need to get the ATO hooked up and then the two reactors up and running but, pretty pleased with the way it came out. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE this skimmer. http://s27.photobucket.com/user/DrftNme/media/10447806_10152427535995202_2109078817148076535_n_zps5450ee56.jpg.html'> Link to comment
Dramad1
Looking good, any update on the light? Link to comment
CrazyEyes
I feel like that's the main feature on this tank. No update, I wanted to get the tank actually back up and running before jumping into the light, with the tank running and going strong again I ca focus on the light. Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
I'm so glad you decided to get rid of that cinder block. I was like wtf, but now that tank looks a lot cleaner. I'm trekking along to see this thing all lit up. Link to comment
CrazyEyes
That was my ceramic media block, which is in the sump again now. I only had it in the tank so it could build up bacteria while the tank was running sumpless. Link to comment
NirvanaandTool
Looking good. Love that sump setup now. Every inch of stand space is utilized. PS that is one serious net you've got there. What do you plan on keeping in there? Link to comment
CrazyEyes
That's my collections net. I go to different spots and collect snails, starfish, hermits etc for the tank. Link to comment
markalot
I like the bug sump. How are those red switches working out? Link to comment
CrazyEyes
I like the switch panel. I might end up needing to get another one, if I don't end up getting a controller. Link to comment
NirvanaandTool
That's my collections net. I go to different spots and collect snails, starfish, hermits etc for the tank. Lucky. Everything is too cold to do that up here. Link to comment
Paleoreef103
I'm excited to see this up and running, but one question. Why no standard blues? My tank always looks a lot better with the standard blues on in addition to just royals and whites. Link to comment
CrazyEyes
I had them on my old light, I honestly never really ran them. I might add them at some point. Link to comment
CrazyEyes
Might get shunned for this but, if I really thought it would cause harm to them I really wouldn't add it. It's still quite small and will definitely go to live in a nice big 500g tank when they get too large. Went to an LFS tonight to pick up some salt and saw a naso there that's been there for quite some time so I decided my 75g was a better home than it's small temp holding tank at the LFS. http://s27.photobucket.com/user/DrftNme/media/DSC_0257_zps9a509b71.jpg.html'> http://s27.photobucket.com/user/DrftNme/media/DSC_0258_zpsc8de6bcd.jpg.html'> And they get along. http://s27.photobucket.com/user/DrftNme/media/DSC_0259_zps7e8350c7.jpg.html'> Link to comment
jball1125
I'm sure he will be very happy growing up in your 75g. It's also a good excuse to get a 500 :-) Link to comment
CrazyEyes
Yeah, if we ever move into a house or on a bottom floor apartment I'd really like a 300DD. I really think both these tangs will be fine in here for a few years. And if I don't have a bigger tank by the time they're too big I know someone with a 275 and someone else with a 500g so they definitely have a home to go to. Link to comment
CrazyEyes
Soon, very very soon. Link to comment
RollaJase
Great work on that canopy, looks really slick. Link to comment
CrazyEyes
Thanks, I really like it because now I can simply keep everything in here without a bunch of wires going all over the place. Link to comment
NirvanaandTool
I agree, wires are ugly. Yes, yes they are. #1 thing I tried to do in my build was clean up the mess of wires. Canopy is looking great. Wire this sucker up and do a test firing! Link to comment
CrazyEyes
I did these just now, but I've been up coming up on 36 hours so I'm going to bed. I'll finish it tomorrow. http://s27.photobucket.com/user/DrftNme/media/10417740_806628149357005_1266001217229746858_n_zpsf7be5a4c.jpg.html'> Link to comment
