Got the top piece cut and finished today. The top is 75x19x 3/4. I purposely made it bigger than the tank. I like having a little ledge in front of the tank. Tomorrow im painting the inside white. Then I plan on staining it dark this weekend. Ill be moving it into the house soon. I will have it running by the 4th of july.

Plywood plies in top piece are gone. Looks like a solid piece of wood .

Im bringing it in the house tomorrow and going to do the plumbing. Stain and poly is done. Ended up using ebony colored stain and a semi gloss poly.

This might sound really weird, but I think this build made my heart skip a beat haha. I love the dimensions and the overall very clean look of this so far.

Cheers and congrats B) ,

This tank looks awesome! Good job on the stand. It's quite impressive. Also, the dimensions if the tank will make for some really cool scapes

I would try to switch some of those 90's for 45's you will loose a lot of pressure and flow with all those 90's

I want to lose some flow. The QO2200 im using is pretty strong and should be plenty. I plan on getting this tank running tomorrow. We will see. Im also debating on using a herbie style over flow method. The only concern I have is I have heard they are hard to dial in

So, you must be moving in because you really are building a house around your tank, the tanks the only thing there!

We moved in 3 months ago. That view is the hallway entrance and the tank is in the dining room. Its no longer a dining room though.
