fretfreak13
Did you do anything different to the tank? Dose something, add top off, etc? Some kind of change in environment probably is what made it schooch elsewhere. Link to comment
pineo
Clams will usually detach from rock if something is making them uncomfortable. Is there any aptasia or anything stinging the foot or mantle of the clam? Have you inspected the clam closely for pyramid snails? Have you recently changed lighting or water flow? Are any fish nipping at the mantle? These are all things I look to if my clams look unhappy or have recently detached from the rock. Link to comment
SouthFlorida_Tron
Only thing I can think of, is acro growth partially covering lighting above Link to comment
fretfreak13
Perhaps that, or even a little bristleworm was messing with its foot or something. Too many factors we can't know, it seems. I'm sure its nothing to worry about. I wish animals could talk to tell us what was wrong.. Link to comment
