owlbassboy
Thanks, I reckon a lot of it is down to the zetlight unit. I have a 3l tank and a 20l tank coming to me soon. The 20l will have no live rock and be scaped with acrylic rod. Well that's the plan at the minute amyway Link to comment
owlbassboy
Heavy feeding and water change pics just to show that I do actually empty my tank during a water change lol Didn't even leave the cm that time lol just enough to keep the fish wet haha Link to comment

x3thelast
effin glad you're doing SUPER HEAVY FEEDING followed by a 100% water change! keep this up and your pico will have an indefinite life span! Link to comment
owlbassboy
Thanks, the NSW seems to be making a massive difference to the health of the tank too Link to comment
owlbassboy
I am testing out a new light from marinereefled called the quadspec mini you get info in my article here http://www.nanoreefblog.com/reviews/first-look-at-marinereefleds-quadspec-mini-par20-led-lamp Hopefully you guys in the states will be able to get your hands on this soon. Here are some pics I took tonight under this new bulb. Think this is an even better feeding shot Link to comment

owlbassboy
Haven't posted a close up of these zoas yet Like the watermelon ones I think they are called but have a green centre too. And here's an almost fts Link to comment
lnglostsurfer
Wow, that zetlight looks really impressive. Just read up and saw a youtube video about it, really impressive for the price, I saw one on ebay for $115 shipped, not too shabby for the amount of control you have. Link to comment
owlbassboy
they are a great light but my new light from marinereefled is much better value, a better colour(just my opinion) and for the price i can do without the control Link to comment
Clarinet_Reefer
And here's an almost fts Is this shot under that new led bulb? Link to comment
lljdma06
I have a goby that'd be really mad if I did that water change, but I get pretty close. I do mine 2x a week instead. I also have substrate, but again, I have a pistol shrimp that'd be mad if I got rid of that. I have angry critters. Tank looks great. What is that orangy thing in the the lower middle, is that a gorg? Above the bluish Ricordea. L Link to comment
owlbassboy
Yes, it is under the new bulb Yeah it's a gorg mate. Different place now though. I added a clam to the pico a few days ago I must get a pic posted tomorrow Link to comment
MeepNand
Looks very nice! The placement of corals looks very natural; when the moni cap grows out it will look even better. Nice acan colony. Link to comment
Clarinet_Reefer
I am lovin the clam! Link to comment

brandon429
that red flowerpot is truly an attractive coral, but among the most allelopathically concerning ones you can keep in a pico. when I put one in my tank, its chemical signature was beginning to kill some of my corals not even on that side of the tank! it took about three months to manifest, so keep an eye on it. x3thelast kept one in his tank, slightly different color morph, and it seemed to do well I but I'll never forget my experience with those red and pink ones, it almost killed a decent sized acan and blasto colony. good to keep in mind in case anything untoward begins in the tank...if it doesnt do any harm, Id call those probably the most desirable corals imo.
